I HAVE 1300 CUSTOMERS who get billed monthly how can i set up QuickBooks so that it alerts me when each customer is due to be billed. or how can I add a payment history into QuickBooks for each customer so that i can know when they last paid and if they are due for a payment?

Can you share with me the specific product you're currently using right now? This way, I can provide you with the right steps to help accomplish your task in QuickBooks. 

 

If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can utilize our invoice reminder feature. This way, you'll be reminded when an upcoming transaction is about to be due. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Settings and select Recurring transactions.
  2. Click New, then choose Invoice and select OK.
  3. Enter the name of the template and choose Reminder in the Type drop-down list.
  4. Fill in the rest of the info, then click Save template.

 

On your second concern, you can run a Transaction List by Customer report to show the customer's payment history and due dates. Let me show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu and select Reports.
  2. Search for the Transaction List by Customer report, then click it to open.
  3. Filter the report, just click the small Gear icon and check the Due Date box.
  4. Click Run report.

 

If you're using QuickBooks Desktop, you can run the same report to view this info. In addition, you check out this article to add a reminder in QBDT: Create, edit, or delete memorized transactions.

 

You can also look for a third-party app to help manage your invoices in QuickBooks. For QBO, simply log in to your account and search for the app in the Apps menu. On the other hand, you can look for the app in this link if you're using QBDT: https://desktop.apps.com/home.
