Can I Opt Out of the ACH changes?

I am not happy about the ACH changes and the (second) increase in fees.  How do I opt-out if I am happy with the current system?  When I started using QuickBooks, checking transfers were 50 cents, then they increased to a dollar.  The fee new system will increase a $500 payment to $5.  I'd prefer to wait a few days and pay less. Do I have that option?

Can I Opt Out of the ACH changes?

Hi Maggie,

I'm wondering the same thing.  I am perfectly willing to wait.  I was afraid this was coming when I saw they offered to do it for free (due to the pandemic)  I didn't sign up for it then because I didn't want to get used to the speed.  This WILL prevent me from recommending QBO online to others.

I feel the same way. Technology makes things less expensive, not more expensive. If anything the transaction fees should be going down. There are many alternatives to QuickBooks. The best solution is to choose one of them and replace QuickBooks.

Can I Opt Out of the ACH changes?

All the links you provided do not provide an answer to our question how do we opt out of ACH next day deposits and none of the resources provide an option to do so. A 1% charge is going to kill small businesses. The $.50 my company was paying for 3-7 day deposits was a fair and equitable standard. We need answers and REAL options. The public as a whole is sensitive to small businesses trying to stay afloat during a pandemic. Unless @QuickBooksHelp provides a real solution there is going to be more than just community posts.

Can I Opt Out of the ACH changes?

Hello Nweb!

I understand that you want to opt out of the instant deposit so you won't be charged with an additional 1% fee. Let me share some info about this.

The reason for this change is that QuickBooks Payments will no longer support the 2-day and 5-day ACH transfers.

In addition, we already created a case and escalated this concern to our Product Team so they can take action regarding this. I suggest reaching out to our Support Team so they can include your account in the case.

  1. Click the (?) Help icon and enter Talk to a human (then type it again when prompted).
  2. When asked by the bot, enter "QBO ACH Speed/Pricing Change".
  3. Select I still need a human, then proceed with Contact us or Get help from a human.
  4. Choose either Chat or Callback.

In the meantime, you may request a rate review to see if you qualify for discounts.

This is unethical and not right business, especially current accounts. Maybe if you open a new account. This 1% is not right!!!

We also are not happy about this, as we were fine waiting for our funds to clear. Not being given an option is not good business. We spent nearly $1,600 this past year with QBO. At this time we will be exploring options. Our biggest concern is data transfer, but better to switch now before greater growth makes that even more difficult in the future. Has anyone explored other options besides QBO, or had experience in data transfer to another provider? Thank you for any information. Best Regards, Safety Steve.

YES I Signed up with melio and it was simple but you can only add text to the email with your QB Invoice.  So I Cannot add PAY HERE logo.  So it may be missed.

BASICALLY QB IS RIPPING OFF SMALL BUSINESSES!  We should have option for 2-3 day payment at no cost.

The worst thing about this change is the timing.  We are struggling to keep our businesses afloat by cutting costs left and right.  Suddenly, QB decides to take 1% (or more) from our gross revenues.  There couldn't be a more inappropriate time.
