Can my customer forward their invoice email (with payment link) to someone else to pay the invoice on their behalf?

I can share some information to help you with forwarding the invoice to their employer, @ElizaH.

You’ll be the one to send the invoice or payment link to the employer. This way, they can pay it in full or a part of it.

Just go back to this invoice that you're referring to and then copy the link. 

Follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Sales menu and then proceed to the Invoices tab.
2. Look for that invoice and click the Receive payment dropdown.
3. Select the View/Edit option.
4. Click the Save and new or the Save and close dropdown and choose the Save and share option.
5. You can copy the link or select the Copy link. They can view and pay for their invoices from the link.

They can now pay their invoices online by credit card or ACH bank transfer.

Thank you for that information.  When the customer receives the email, can they forward it to someone else to pay (for example their employer)?  Will the link still work when the email is forwarded from the customer to someone else?

Yes, your customer can forward the email, and the other person will be able to review the invoice, then pay it. Just make sure you enable online payments for that invoice, and all they have to do is follow the link in the email.

Customers can pay for the invoice by credit card or ACH bank transfer. You can also process the payment in-person or over the phone.
