Disputed payment

Customer paid us, transaction been on hold because because client’s bank couldn’t been verified, now customer file a false dispute, QuickBooks asked me to provided evidences to fight back the dispute which i did. My question is does QuickBooks can be able to tell if its a false dispute? We do provide care service which we can’t refund. And customers tried to avoid all kind of communication but choose to ruin us by filing a dispute which is so unfair. Do you fight to win the disputes after merchant provide you with evidence? This is the first time it happen to us which is very strange. Client agreed to everything now he’s playing the victims game and want to ruin our business but trying to get money back which so unfair as the service was already provided to clients’loved one. I need help on how it works here, and i wish we had dispute protection. Now i am not able to get dispute protection i know that many customers do that a lot file a false dispute by saying its a fraud which wasn’t a fraud.

I’ve provided all the documents requested but my question is does quickbook fight for merchant dispute after reviewing the evidences provided by merchant? Or should I have my company legal action take place because the clients is playing victim and trying to ruin our business. After rendering service to hit love one he paid invoice but lied to his bank it was a fraud which is very concerning and confused to know to intention behind this.

I can imagine how concerning that must be for you, faithtobelieve. I'll share some details on how QB Payments handles this issue.

QuickBooks Payments does not directly communicate with the cardholder. Instead, we act as a representative for you, the merchant. We offer reliable and precise information to assist you in effectively managing any disputes you encounter.

Our main objective is to assist you in resolving these disputes in your favor. It is important to note that all remedies for a chargeback must adhere to the rules and regulations set by the Card Associations.

I have included an article about chargeback in QBO for more information: Handle chargebacks and retrieval requests for QuickBooks Payments.

Further, you can also check this link that offers tips preventing this from happening again: Prevent chargebacks and disputes with QuickBooks Payments. This is crucial for businesses to protect revenue, maintain customer relationships, avoid penalties, and safeguard reputation.
