QuickBooks Cash follows with QuickBooks Payments. Meaning, yes, you need to sign up for QuickBooks Payments through QuickBooks Online (QBO) to get a QuickBooks Cash account and a debit card. If you sign up for QuickBooks Payments through another product, like QuickBooks Desktop, or POS, you won't get QuickBooks Cash. It will be available to you in the future.
To sign up for a payment account in QBO, you can follow these steps:
- Sign in to QBO.
- Go to the Gear icon, then click on Account and Settings.
- Click Payments from the left navigation, then tap on the Learn More button.
- Hit on Set Up Payments to get started.
- Enter information about your business including the bank account where you want your customers’ payments to be deposited.
- Follow the on-screen pop-ups to complete the process.
