EMV Chip Reader for Merchant Services

What EMV chip readers are supported by Merchant Services?  I found references to Ingenico iPP350 for QB POS.  Will that reader also work for Merchant Services?  Are there any other readers supported or is the iPP350 the only one?

Thanks,

Dan.

EMV Chip Reader for Merchant Services

Hi @Camp K9,

Thanks for the question!  While you are welcome to try other Pin Pad models, the only model that we support would be the one available here, on the product website:

Intuit Hardware

The one we sell is the Ingenico iPP350.  However, if it is purchased from another vendor besides Intuit, we can't guarantee its functionality.

Thanks,

Lucas

EMV Chip Reader for Merchant Services

Worst Merchant Center customer service. I've been through a total of 4 Ingenico Ipp350. Getting them replaced for Warranty when some of them are only a week old. It is like jumping through the fire with lava rocks on the other side. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE> Avoid INTUIT POS at all costs. Get another CRedit card terminal on the side. Save money and save a headache. All technical supports is in a 3rd world country with robotic foreign voices that you can barley understand.

VIP EMV transaction is an alternative and is hosted in a cloud-based server solution but does not use Intuit Merchant Services today. It is usually best served for organizations with 3 or more users. The major advantage of accessing the terminal via web service in this way is that it allows for instant software updates. It's easy for sure can be helpful when you have a service desk where you need credit cards and mostly no cash. https://www.vipintegratedpayments.com/quickbooks-hosting see you in the clouds gotomyerp
