How do I delete a customer group?

I have removed all the customers from inside the group but I do not need the group at all. How do I delete the actual group so it doesn't show in the customer center or in the drop down box when I make invoices? Honestly, I made the group just while playing around with the software and never even billed anything to the group.

How do I delete a customer group?

It's good to see you here, Cacerez.

You'll be able to delete the customer group by pressing Command and D on your keyboard. I'm here to help guide you through.

  1. Go to Customer Center.
  2. Choose and mark to select the group.
  3. Press the Command and D keys.
  4. Click on OK to confirm.

The following article will provide more information: QuickBooks Desktop for Mac User's Guide.

You should be able to delete the customer group. Leave a comment below if you need further guidance. I'm always here to help.

I don't think I have a costumer center that will let me delete anything. I don't see any options to delete any customers

How do I delete a customer group?

Hello, usergeorge-randecker.

I'd be glad to give clarifications on how to find the Customer Center and how you can delete a customer.

In QuickBooks Mac, you can access the Customer Center by clicking the Customer menu then selecting Customer Center. You'll want to follow the JaneD's steps to delete the customer.

On your last thread, it was tagged under QuickBooks Online, If you're using that instead of QuickBooks Mac, you can access the Customer Center from the Sales tab. From there, you can inactivate a customer.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales tab, then click the Customers tab.
  2. Under the ACTION column, click the arrow icon.
  3. Select Make inactive

Note: This will only inactivate the customer but you won't be able to use them on sales forms.

If you need help managing your customers, you can check this article: Add and manage customers in QuickBooks Online.
