How to monitor if schedule payment was successful? I checked on tab Show Bill payments but nothing is there.

In QBO, you can track your bill payments and their statuses through the Bill page. If a bill has been settled, it will be listed under the Paid tab, where you can find essential details, including the payment date.

 

To check for scheduled payments, follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Expenses menu and select Bills.
  2. Select the Unpaid tab to see all bills that are due for payment.
  3. For each unpaid bill, you can see the status and due date.
  4. Click Schedule payment to view the ongoing progress of your scheduled payment.

 

Alternatively, check your bank account for any recent deductions. If you notice a specific deduction related to your bill, it indicates that the payment has likely been processed successfully.

Thankyou for this but when I open the bill it's always says overdue then schedule payment even if I already scheduled payments and save it. How to check if it was successfully scheduled ?

You can check the progress of your scheduled payments on the Bill Payments page by clicking View Details. If you can't see the transaction, I suggest utilizing the Filter feature to customize the displayed transactions to the specific transaction. You can follow the steps provided below:

 

  1. Log into your QBO account.
  2. Go to Expenses, then choose Bills.
  3. Select Show Bill Pay payments.
  4. Pick the scheduled bill payment from the list, then click View details.

After that, you can see the ongoing progress of your scheduled payment. I'll be sharing a screenshot for your reference.

In instances where the scheduled payment didn't show up, I recommend performing the troubleshooting steps. This way, we can ensure that this isn't a browser-related issue.

Both you and the payee will receive an email confirmation when you schedule a bill payment. Also, you'll both get another email confirmation once the bill payment is complete. To learn more about this one, check out this article: Learn about QuickBooks Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online.

 

If you receive an email confirmation and still the scheduled payment didn't show up, we can access your account using an incognito/private browser. It could be your browser's cache and cookies are corrupted causing unexpected behaviors in QBO. Refer to these shortcut keys:

 

  • Mozilla Firefox / Internet Explorer: Press CTRL Shift P
  • Safari: Press Command Shift N
  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL Shift N

 

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime data collection can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

 

If the problem persists, we recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They have the tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment, and verify what's causing this issue. Here's how to reach them:

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner of your QBO account.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human" in the chatbox, then press Enter.
  3. Choose Get help from a human.
  4. Tap Chat with us or Have us call you.

My client didn't receive email as well as the payee. But we subscribed to Bill pay then scheduled payment and save.
