Is it possible to opt out of the automatic next-day ACH deposits? I'd rather not pay the 1% fee if I don't have to.
agree. how do i opt out?
Hello, gaushell.
Please know this isn't what I want you to feel about using our QuickBooks Payment. Allow me to share with you some insights about the next-day banking deposit.
Beginning April 12, 2021, bank transfer (ACH) payments will be charged a 1% transaction fee (max$10) per transaction.
You can also request a rate review and check if there are any other pricing plans for you. Here's an article for more details: Request A Rate Review Of QuickBooks Payments Discount Fees.

no disrespect meant, but please quit cutting and pasting that answer. none of us are asking about credit card payments- i don't accept those at all. ACH actually transfers funds immediately from bank to bank. we were all willing to let intuit float our money and surely invest and make a few $$ on your end. but now to add this charge that we did not accept or ask for is insulting and darn near criminal.
shame on intuit for gouging customers that were happy with the slower service.
you should have to opt into the new program if you want 24 hour payment. not force us into it and raise rates at a ridiculous amount.
Agreed! I don't need next-day transfer and it shouldn't be forced upon me. If there isn't an opt-out option then I will have to look at other programs. Why not just leave it as an option (as it is now) so those who need next-day transfers can use it. It should not be forced upon us.
This is really unethical. You should always give the option to OPT-OUT. You don't really give us a choice.
I wish I could make it better, @123herbals.
Since the option not to use the next-day deposit schedule with ACH payments, I'd recommend letting our product developers know about this request.
This way, they may be able to include the said option in the coming future enhancements. You can let them know by following the steps below:
Also, here's a couple of articles you can read to keep you updated with the last improvements rolled out in the system:
If you have any other questions, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.
Explore the options as I mentioned earlier.
This is nothing short of stealing 10% of my profits. Don't tell me it is a programming issue. It is a greedy money grab by Quickbooks. I pay $ 70 per month for this service and QB wants more? It is my money! looking for the fastest way to a new system.
Hello AileenA,
Thank you for your information. As a Quickbooks Employee, please answer the following question with a "Yes" or a "No".
Is it possible to opt out of Next Day ACH deposits and save the 1% fee?
• YES, you can opt out. If so, send clear information and links on how to do this.
• NO. The 1% fee is now a condition of ACH deposits.
Yes or No. Please. Thank you, Noel
Thanks for joining in this thread, @noel. Let me chime in and answer your concern.
At the moment, there isn't an option to opt out of the next day's ACH deposit. I understand you'll want to save the 1% fee. As an additional insight, this ACH rate is the lowest compared to other deposit options.
To get more ideas about deposits and rates, you can visit the QuickBooks Payments website at this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/payments/#fast-deposits. It also includes answers to most of your questions about getting paid faster.
Additionally, you'll want to consider using the QuickBooks Cash account. There's no additional fee for using this service if you use instant deposits.
For future reference, check out this article to get more insights about the QuickBooks Cash flow menu and its fees.

Just more ways to take more of our hard earned money. This is criminal and intuit clearly doesn't care about clients.
Just more ways to take our hard earned money. This is near criminal and shows intuit greed.
This is ridiculous.
What intuit is showing is their true character.
Shame on whoever came up with this garbage.
You are falsely advertising eligibility requirements for a rate review, in addition to forcing us to an expensive service we don't need with only a few days' notice. You're advertising that we need an average of $7,500 monthly for 3 months, but are actually looking at each month and disregarding the average.
We average well above that for many years, but I was told we were ineligible because we fell below in March (we invoiceon quarterly cycles), we're ineligible. My requests to speak with someone in authority have so far been ignored.
These business practices appear criminal.
Can you help get someone in authority to discuss with me why they're applying a requirement for a rate review of processing at least $7500 each separate month, instead of the advertised average for 3 months? This is clearly false advertising.
I've requested a call twice now to discuss this, and they're simply ignoring me. We've been a good customer for 11 years.
After hours on chat and phone calls, they told me, "No."
Explore other options. One processor offers the credit card processing as low as 2.49% per transaction + monthly fees, and $0.65 + 0.20% for ACH/eCheck processing. If you process more than $50,000 per month, you may qualify for lower processing rates.
Why am I bring charged more than 10 dollars? Got a $11.49 fee
Hello there, @Bridget Ell.
Thanks for following this thread. I'd like to help you check why you're getting an $11.49 fee for using QuickBooks Payments.
Since it requires pulling up your information, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payments team. This way, we can validate your account and provide you with the best answer securely.
I’m also adding this article to get an overview of the fees and plans for QuickBooks Payments: What are the fees for QuickBooks Payments?.
I'm always around to help if you have any other concerns about QuickBooks. Have a great day!
Clearly this is price gauging in light of covid restrictions. Call your State's attorney and Federal Reserve. This is an absolutely outrageous increase.
I agree. I’m putting in 15 hour days in my small business and just pulled up my bank statement and am seeing all of these small transaction fees all over the place. Totally blindsided by this crap. If I threw in a fee to my customers without letting them know, they’d quit using my services.
I went back and looked through my email trying to figure out these fees and see the announcement from Inuit about the next day transfer and it says “there’s nothing you need to do. This change will happen automatically.” So basically what there saying is we know you wouldn’t opt into this change so let us do it for you. Total bull crap!!!!
