Invoice Payments defaulting to not allow online payments for all imported invoices

I have gone into:

The gear icon -> Account and Settings -> Sales -> Invoice Payments -> Set Accept Credit Cards to On and Accept ACH to On

 

So that is set correctly to have emailed invoices to clients allow them to pay online by Credit Card or ACH like I want. But still, every time I import an invoice into QuickBooks Online (QBO) the new invoices ALWAYS default to have those settings "off." When I select any imported invoice the "Online Payments" section is always set to off. I have to manually edit each invoice every single time to set it to "On" and it tells me that update will only apply to that invoice and I "can edit payment methods for all future invoices in settings." so I click on that settings link, but it shows Invoice payments are already set to "On" for both Credit Cards and ACH.

 

Why are all the imported invoices defaulting to "Off" for payments when I have them set to default to "on"? What can I do to fix this?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @ProfessionalChoiceSolutions. Let me share some information about automatic invoice payment.

 

The online payment option will be applied to the invoice if the setup is created inside QuickBooks Online. If the invoices are imported, the feature's status will be based on the imported file. 

 

That being said, I suggest sending feedback to help our Product Development team determine which innovation will be implemented in the next future update. Our team keeps on improving and developing the software to adapt to our customers’ needs and make QuickBooks gets even better. The change is also based on how popular a specific feature request is. 

 

To proceed, here's how:

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Select the Gear icon at the top.
  3. Choose Feedback.
  4. Enter your comments and then click Next to submit the recommendation.

 

In the meantime, you can manually edit the imported invoices to enable the online payment. For more information, please see this article: Take and process payments in QuickBooks Online.
