New invoice templates don't fit my window envelope

The new templates don't fit my window envelopes either. The old classic form fit perfectly. I publish a magazine and mail it along with the invoice in a large 9x 12 envelope with a window on it that shows the bill to address. I don't fold the invoice. I just slip it in the large envelope and the old classid invoice fit perfectly. I now have $300 in custom envelopes I got printed a few months ago that I can't use now no matter what changes I make to any of the new invoice templates. The Bill To address simply does not show up corretly in my window envelopes.

New invoice templates don't fit my window envelope

Hi jeff-ons,

I'll do all that I can to help you customize those invoices so that they fit the envelope window.

The following article will show you how to navigate the Custom Form Styles screen to change your preferences: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1553442. Should you find that you'd like to change the layout even further, please check out the Import style plug-in: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1145368.

There's also a setting that can be turned on that helps the program adjust these bill and address fields for you:

  • Go to the Gear icon at the top right corner of your screen.
  • Select Custom Form Styles
  • Click Edit on the right side of the column.
  • At the bottom of the page, click Edit print settings
  • Check off the box next to Fit printed form with pay-stub in window envelope. The program will edit the font and placement so that the info fits the window. If these settings were adjusted, let's put them back to the original setup so that it fits properly.
  • Once you're finished editing, click Done

I'd also like to ensure all guidelines in this article are being followed: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1616139-print-forms-for-window-envelopes. If you let me know the template you're currently using, I can also share the recommended font size.

If the steps above do not work for you, please reach out to the QuickBooks Online support team so they can either help get this resolved, or escalate the issue if needed. The following article has their phone number and hours of operation: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1145770.

Thanks so much for your time today.
