Hi All,
I have some old payments sitting in the "payments to Deposit" window. These payments have already been matched up and added to the chart of accounts. Is there any way I can remove them from the payments to deposit window?
TIA,
Cath
Hi there, Cath_R. Let me help you remove payments in the payments to deposit window.
Please know that if the downloaded transaction has been matched directly, the invoice will be automatically paid. With this, the payments will still appear in the payment to deposit window. All you need to do is to record a bank deposit. However, since this is already matched, the payments under the Undeposited Funds (UF) should be deleted to prevent from having duplicate transactions. You can do this by following the steps below.
Note that you can only delete payments that are not yet deposited.

Hi,
I appreciate your reply back, however I am not seeing customer information or maybe I'm missing something?
Thanks for getting back in this thread, Cath.
I'll make sure you'll be able to locate the customer information window in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
You'll have to select the specific customer to view the Customer Information page. Let me show you how:
On the other hand, you can also pull up the Transaction List by Customer and filter it to view all of your invoice payments in QBDT.
1. Go to the Reports menu, and select Customers & Receivables.
2. Choose Transaction List by Customer.
3. Click the Customize Report button, and go to the Filter tab.
4. Search for Transaction Type, and select Payment.
6. Click the OK button.
Additionally, please check out this article to view various ways how you can track customer transactions in QBDT: Accounts Receivable workflows in QuickBooks Desktop.
Let me know if you have additional questions about managing your payments in QBDT. I'll be glad to answer them for you. Have a good one.
