printing checks

I want to ensure you can print checks in QuickBooks Desktop, @Mayor10.

To start, let's consider the following:

  • Make sure that your QuickBooks Desktop is updated to the latest release
  • Your computer is connected to the printer and the printer software is installed.

After that, let's check your printer if it can print outside QuickBooks:

  1. Select Start and browse to Notepad.
  2. Enter some text and choose File, then Print.
  3. Click the correct printer and hit Print.

If the print test didn't work, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the printer, restart your computer, and then turn the printer back on.
  2. Make sure the printer paper is loaded correctly.
  3. Select the Windows Start button, browse to the Control Panel, and double-click Printers and Faxes.
  4. If the printer shows Offline, right-click the printer and choose Use Printer Online.
  5. Double-click the printer and if there are print jobs displayed in the queue, hit Printer, then Cancel All Documents.
  6. Close the window.
  7. Right-click the printer, pick Properties and tap Print Test Page.
  8. Note: If the printer is a network printer and the test page does not print, network issues could be the cause.

If the issue persists, go to Solution 1 of this article: Troubleshoot PDF and Print problems. This fixes most of the common printing issues. Once done, print the check again

Here's the article that will give you details about the process: Fix printing issues in QuickBooks Desktop. Since you're done with the print test, let's proceed to Step 4.

Also, I've added an article that will help you align checks when printing

Feel free to leave a reply in the comment section if you need further assistance printing your checks or anything else related to QuickBooks. I'm always ready to help you. Have a great day ahead.

Same problem here.  Desktop Accountant in single-user mode.
Prints from other apps, not QB.

Prints invoices but not checks.

Updates are the latest version.

PDF and XPS are updated and repaired.

Ran the Printer repair tool from the Tool Hub.

Restarted computer and printer.
