Quickbook payment e-mail says Invoice #Na instead of the customer's name

When I receive my Quickbook customer payments my e-mail subject line says "Payment received Invoice #NA. It used to tell me the customer's name, and it was more convenient thatway. Why did this change?

Hi meghannchannell,

Let's try closing and then reopening your email. Then, check to see if the same subject format appears.

I've also added this reference for more information about sales tax: Sales tax in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be around if there's anything that I can help. Keep safe!

Yes, it still shows up that way. I have checked it on several computers and phones.

Hello there, meghannchannell.

I appreciated your time and patience to let us know the results of the steps you've done.

I understand that you wanted to show the customer's name on the invoice but the steps that you've followed are not working. I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support Team so they can further investigate why the name isn't showing on invoices.

Here's how:

  1. Click the (?) Help icon and choose the Talk to a human option (then type it again when prompted).
  2. When asked by the bot, enter "Invoice".
  3. Select I still need a human, then proceed with Contact us.
  4. Tap Let’s talk then choose either Get a call or Start messaging
