Quickbooks Merchant Services charged the wrong account over $7500

Mind numbing incompetence at the Quickbooks payments customer service phone line.  I frequently charge the SAME customer through Quickbooks ACH payments for Invoices as they are fulfilled.. not through recurring payment.  Well, doing the exact same process, someone that I have never met was charged $7,673.40

On the Merchant Center receipt for the tranaction, it states the correct person and correct account number were charged.  In reality, someone totally unrelated was charged.  I'm very lucky this person is being very gracious in handling this! 

 

Quickbooks customer service said there was nothing they could do, and gave me absolutely NO explanation for why this happened or how to stop it from happening again!  They then explained that I would be responsible for the chargeback fee.  I'm dumbfounded. The bank that the money came from said that it was Quickbooks who was completely responsible for what account got pulled.

 

If someone with any authority reads this, please contact me to resolve this.  I have been a customer for a LONG time and until now have been relatively happy with this service.

Quickbooks' response team is now powered by ChatGPT.  What a disingenuous response!

 

Either contact the same incompetent people manning the phone lines or sign up for Payments Dispute Protection... which does not apply for ACH payments like I clearly stated in my post.

 

Is there anyone competent enough to help me with this?
