QuickBooks payments for a non us resident

Hello!

currently I opened an LLC in the US, and we are about to start receiving payments, but we found that to set up QuickBooks Payments it requires to have an SSN, and as we are not US residents we don’t have one.

is there any way to set up QuickBooks Payments with out having an SSN, for example our ITIN number?

Thanks!

QuickBooks payments for a non us resident

Hello there, @EliasBM.

I'm glad to share insights about setting up online payments.

It's really necessary to have an SSN to be able to set up a US Merchant or online payments account. Since you don't have the SSN, you may need to consult with the IRS for them to provide better alternatives specific to your situation.

For further details about the merchant account application, you may check this article: Merchant account application status: Pending or in Review.

In case you're accepting Non-US credit cards, please refer to this article: Accept Non-US credit cards from customers using QuickBooks Merchant Services.

I'm also adding these articles which might be helpful in the future about setting up and using QuickBooks Payments as well as connecting payments account to QuickBooks Online (QBO):
