SAME THING. This just happened to me over $6,000 sitting in limbo that I am unable to access before I leave the country. This is asinine. And the customer service rep said "it was a business decision" what is the real story quickbooks. All of these complaints are within a few days.
That seems blatantly false. Our merchant account was closed by quickbooks and we can no longer receive payments deeming quickbooks pointless for us. We haven’t had a customer pay through quickbooks yet and I’ve look THOROUGHLY through the prohibited businesses and actions—which we are/have done neither. Yet, we have open I believe 7 cases working to get this fixed, over a week, and 6+ hours spent on the phone trying to get this fixed. One customer service member in Merchant Services actually screen shared and DELETED our initial account, opened a new account, and we still have the same problem. Our call got disconnected and he never called back(yes he had our call back AND email information) AND we still have the same initial problem. We can’t accept payments and our checking was denied. This issue had “been escalated” twice now and we’ve heard nothing each time this has happened.
I would be glad to join the class action! My QuickBooks Money merchant account was closed back in December 2019. I still have over $9,000 in the account and they STILL have my funds on hold. I received a letter in the male last week that was printed on 4/28/23 stating that I had monies that were abandoned, and would soon be turned over to my state’s unclaimed property division. This is completely absurd.
No, they still haven't given any of our money. They keep saying it was a buisness decision to close the account. I'm contacting the BBB. If they can't help in going to my lawyer.
they took 8500$ from me i october 21’
sent another company 8500 for a vehicle, they closed his account down with the money in it. i lost the car, every time i try to call and see about the money, they act like they don’t know what i’m talking about

@ChristieAnn - I too am a victim of Intuit's poor practice of shutting down accounts. When you call the Payments department THEY KNOW/DO NOTHING. I'm a small, woman-owned business and you all shut down my account for NO REASON with NO NOTICE and when we call no one can tell us anything other than it's a "business decision" and the account is "under review". Also, you have $30,000 of my money that I cannot access. My clients cannot pay their invoices and are calling me to complain. This is by far, the most horrible nightmare a small business owner can go through. It's been 5 sleepless days and no one will tell me anything. Please provide real help.

Have this been resolved?

QB has also closed my account and the only excuse I have been given is that this is a "Business Decision" in their part. My funds are being held and I have to wait 3-4 days to hear back from an agent. This is by far the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. QB can hold MY money?
There has to be a way to report these people.

Quickbooks arbitrarily closed my checking account for no other reason than the result of their "Business Decision"... There was over $8k and all they could tell us is that the funds will be held for 200 plus days and that we should receive introductions on how to claim this money. Otherwise, I will have to wait until i can claim these funds directly from the state.
WTF?
Never open a checking account with these guys.

David,
I've been there. It's frustrating.
Demand to speak with "The Office of the President". Don't give up. It took me 3 weeks but I finally got a couple of really great people to listen and help me from the President's team. I got my $34,000 several days later.
Hope that helps.
If you can have your client or clients immediately reverse the credit back to them, that's the best immediate approach. This has been going on for months, happened to me many months ago. File a BB complaint, join the FB group, and file a complaint with the banking commission. Can't believe an attorney hasn't picked this up as a class action suit yet. Also, light them up on twitter.

Raymond, I don't want to know why my funds are on hold, I want to know why my go payments account was closed without my consent over $850 stolen from me.

Keeping this thread alive to say that this happened to me as well. Quick books is stealing from its customers. Based on the amount of money listed here, and the amount of people who would not seek out this post, and that this is now four years later, they must have taken millions at this point. That’s insane.
I am going to setup a website/blog… stay tuned! David
This happened to me Friday. I have filed complaints with BBB, FDIC, and MORE! Almost $4000 being held because of a “business decision” and no help from calls. It’s infuriating and wrong!
