Client Data Changes Reset?

Why did all of my clients data get reset to over a year ago? Also recently when I send invoices, the clients address is completely missing when it is there in each profile? I then need to save as a draft, go to manage clients, copy their email address, go back to their invoice, paste it, then send their invoice. What changed and why did the software get worse while we pay more?

Client Data Changes Reset?

Hello there, Meg.

I'm concerned to hear that your client data seems to have reset to an older state. This is not the experience we want you to have. Rest assured, I'm here to assist you in fixing these so you can use QuickBooks Self-Employed efficiently.

Sometimes, our browser fills too much cache, which could cause malfunctions to some features or slow down a website. As of now, I can guide you on troubleshooting your browser to ensure it runs with QuickBooks compatibly. Let's start with accessing QuickBooks Self-Employed using incognito mode or a private window. Here are the shortcut keys to go private mode in a browser:

For Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge / Opera:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + N

For Firefox:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + P

For Safari:

  • Shift + Command ⌘ + N

If this works, you can proceed to clear your browser's cache and cookies to clear temporary files running in your browser that have caused the malfunctions. Otherwise, you can also use other supported browsers to ensure it runs QBO efficiently.

If you're using QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app, you can clear its cache by following the steps below:

  1. Go to your device Settings.
  2. Look for the Apps settings (this step varies for each device).
  3. Choose QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) from the list, then select Storage.
  4. Tap Clear Data.

If the same thing happens, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed support to investigate this matter further. They have the right tools to view what happened to the data and your invoice not filling up the address field.

Moreover, you can also consider adding an accountant to review your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.

I'm always here to assist you with any additional concerns you may have besides your client's data reverted to the past and missing a client's billing address in an invoice. Feel free to leave a reply.
