I wish QB had an option for employee to customize the invoice templates.
Hello, Michele.
I'm here to help ensure this is taken care of for you.
I can see how having the option to let the employee customer invoice templates in QuickBooks Online (QBO) would be helpful for you and your business. I recommend leaving feedback to notify our engineers about the feature you need. This way, they can consider adding it in future updates.
Here's how to submit feedback:
You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
To learn more about managing user access in QBO, check out this article: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.
I also recommend visiting our website for more tips and other resources you can use in the future: Self-help articles.
Please post again if you have additional questions about this or anything else QBO. I'll be here to assist. Take care.
Morgan,
Many users are having similar issues and giving feedback doesn't seem to resolve the issue. One of the MAIN reasons I adopted using Quickbooks Online for my business was that I wanted to be able to delegate other employees to issue invoices to clients. I have 4 custom designed invoices for different locations of our operations. An employee that only needs access to the "customer" portions of Quickbooks Online currently does not have access to the company's custom invoice templates. They don't need the ability to create them or modify them, just to use them. It is ludicris that this is not something that an employee with a role that allows them to issue invoices does not automatically have access to in the system.Giving an employee full access to the company file is not a secure work around for this issue.

Giving "FEEDBACK" through the system has NOT done a thing to resolve this issue in over 12 calendar months. Please give us another option.
2 Years later and this still has not been addressed. The only way for an employee to have access to use invoice templates/designs in Quickbooks Online is to give them Standard All Access even if they only need access to Standard Customer information. You have to put all of your financial data at risk just to allow an employee to be able to use the custome invoices you've designed for your business. This is not acceptable.
It's been 14 months and this issue has still not been addressed. Putting in "feedback" does nothing.
