Deposit On Hold - Lawsuit

QuickBooks accepted payments from 3 of my customers in June 2021 totaling $26,000 and then closed the account "you account  has been closed as a business decision and the funds will remain on hold for 270 or your customer can dispute".

This is unacceptable. I have called numerous times and just get pushed around to noone taking accountability.

My attorney has initiated a law suit. I'm reaching out to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue?

Deposit On Hold - Lawsuit

I hear your sentiments, clashay23.

I can see how hassle it is when payments are on hold.

QuickBooks periodically review payments to make sure everything is alright. When digits are on hold, we need to review the transactions. When this happens, you will get an email that has instructions on why and how to fix the issue.

I've also added these links that have detailed information on why transactions are on hold:

Keep me posted, clashay23. I want to ensure that this gets resolved.

Hello, clashay23.

I understand you're in a tough spot here.

I believe that this is not easier since this involves money and time.

With that said, we'd like to turn the tables around so you can continue processing payments and managing your business in your area.

In order for us to rectify the misunderstanding and help you with the hold, we'll want to give our Payments support another chance to look into this problem. I'd like to do it here, but I'm unable to access sensitive payment information in a public space.

We can use the same phone number, or if you don't have it handy anymore, let's take a look at this article for the contact details: Contact Payments or Point of Sale Support

If you have it handy, we can provide the next agent with the previous case number. They'll read through the notes and resolve the payment hold.

If you need more details about payment holds, here are some articles with helpful information:

Do you need to check how much you've made so far before and after the payment hold? We can run reports to see your sales and other transactions in QuickBooks or in the Merchant Services Center. Check out these articles for a guide:

I'm all ears if you have concerns about processing payments in QuickBooks. If you do have other questions in managing your sales, income, and other entries, let me know and I'll help you out.

I'm curious to know if you've gotten anywhere with your proposed litigation. I have had a very similar experience now with over $14,000 from a customer. 3 calls, each one of them quite friendly and civil and each one of them a straight up deception by intuit staff. I'm also referring the matter to our Attorney General, Bob Ferguson in Washington State. I cannot believe this is a real thing, but this sure looks like an incredible fraud scam.

Three payments coming into my accounts were placed on hold and  and said action was require. No emails were ever sent to me from quickbooks/ intuit so i had no idea what to do.  The information provided next to the all 3 of the "on hold" invoices said that instructions to follow were in my email...agin, no emails were ever sent. My friend Google then told me to check the resolution center, however there was no information there either.  Then made the 1st call to support (Abigale), she said there was some type of conflicting information within my account between their system and some software ....support said it was cleared up and they would follow up with me once my case was picked up and being corrected...never happened. 2nd call to support (Sam) a day later; this person said everything was ok looking on my account from their end and clear, but the review still had to be cleared by "the team" and it would occur in 2-3 days.  Now, a day later and 3 NEW payments were made to my quickbooks account, only to also be put on hold. NO EMAILS WERE SENT YET AGAIN.  NOR DID I RECEIVE ANY CALLS.  Just made a 3rd phone call to support (could not understand his name) and now being told that the deposits should be cleared up in 7-10 days.  What a hassle you are QB.   Sure know how to make your long time customers hate you.  My company will now begin to consider other payment systems and software.  Good day

I had a payment I received through quickbooks on Friday, wasn't available for instant deposit as it was to much for my limit. Was ensured it will be deposited Monday over and over with no mention of any problems. Today I am told that I have to verify my identity with a picture of me holding my ID? After I gave them my social and address and ein numbers? Makes sense. Going to take 2 days for me to receive the email with the link and another 2 days to process said picture. So I'm out $29,120.00 for another week because of quickbooks infamous "system". This is ridiculous and costing more money. Quickbooks customer service is a joke.

We all want to get paid as soon as possible, and I know that delays can cause inconvenience, JeffTx.

If you notice a recent payment you accepted is on hold, this means they're currently being reviewed by the Risk Management Team. We periodically audit payments to help protect the security of all the parties involved and mitigate fraud risk.

An email will be sent to you with detailed instructions on what additional information is needed in order to complete our assessment. This may include a copy of the original invoice you sent to your customer.

Once we have everything, the review is usually completed within 2 business days. After that, we can finish processing or clearing the transaction. You may directly reach out to our Merchant Support Team to further check the status or progress.

Finally, I recommend checking our FAQ page to learn how QB Payments works.

If you have other concerns or follow-up inquiries regarding this matter, please don't hesitate to go back to this thread. I'm just around to help. Take care, JeffTx!

They are all liars and thief’s. They’ve stolen money from us as well. I have a friend who

they stole 20k from and never returned it. Their customer service is garbage, half don’t know anything and the other half can’t do anything. More than 75% of them you can’t even understand. They told me today that they weren’t stealing my money, I just can’t have it back…

They stole from me too! Luckily only 7k but they still got me! Have you got anywhere with the litigation?

Well, I am also having the same issue and I found out that no cases have been escalated when I have been told that they have been. Also, I found out that Quickbooks pays below minimum wage for customer support that is not domestic to the US. Seems like a human rights problem at this point. And since it was on a recorded line, it makes it very ripe for a lawsuit. News would probably love this story too because I would imagine it comes directly from the top of the company.

I hear the same BS over and over and then the next person tells me it was never escalated. The news channel might be my next try and have them sit  through the BS hour and a half calls getting told the same repeated BS off their computer screen that at this point I can recite better than they can only for more worthless and empty information and promises and manager will call me back (never has happened in 6 calls)
