Does QuickBooks Point of Sale sync with Quickbooks Online Advance?

Currently, Point of Sale only links to QuickBooks Desktop. If you're using QBO you can go to the App center and find a third-party application that works best for your program.

Here's how:

1. On the left panel, click Apps.
2. Click the Browse Category drop-down list.
3. Select Point of Sale Solution.
4. Click the app so you can check more details.

I'd also suggest sending feedback to our Product Development Team about this request. To send feedback, log in to your QuickBooks Online account and go to the Gear icon. Then, choose Feedback under User Profile.

Are there any plans for to develop a sync between QB POS and QBO? It seems like that would come in pretty handy for a large number of QBO customers.

Aren't they discontinuing support for Quickbooks desktop version? I'm looking at buying the POS system and we have migrated to QBO since they announced support would be discontinued. It doesn't really make sense for me to buy hardware that will not work with QBO....

I understand how important it is to have an option to directly sync QuickBooks Point of Sale to QuickBooks Online. The option to do it is unavailable. For now, you can use a third-party app to bridge POS to QBO.  As a workaround, I'd suggest utilizing a third-party application.  This will help you bridge the two programs.

Many POS options in the market to explore. You will need a connector for most of them to integrate with QBO. Some POS systems support QBO like this one.

It has been a year since this post - is there any update on syncing Desktop POS with Quickbooks Online?

Check out our 3rt party app, Ability Financial Exchange, which is a connector for QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Point of Sale Desktop.

The app QPOSConnect actually works pretty well for this.  I had been waiting for a solution for years and finally found this gem of a program.  Ability is another option, but QPOSConnect worked better for my needs - it didn't require a new POS Company file be established which Ability was going to need, which would have meant a loss of historical reporting in the POS software.

Unfortunately, QuickBooks POS only links to the Desktop QuickBooks accounting programs.  However, there is a third-party application that works just like the QB desktop sync.  It is called QPOSConnect.  It sends journal entries to QBO to update the financial records and does not try to duplicate the work that the POS program is doing.  This is the link.  https://qposconnect.com/#Home.
