ECheck Authorization Form

Quickbooks says I need signed authorization in order to complete an echeck transaction. The current instructions given in quickbooks leads to a form that is no longer available. What are people using to get authorization? All the answers I've seen to this question do not work thus far

That is true. You'll need to fill in and submit a signed authorization for ACH and eCheck transactions. The link to the ACH Authorization Form to accept an eCheck isn't working. Even though we're evolving, we don't anticipate this change the way our product behaves.

 

We have already informed our software engineers about this issue. We'll update this thread as soon as the form becomes available. In the meantime, I recommend looking for an Auth form for ACH and eCheck agreement outside of QuickBooks Online so you may complete your transaction.

I understand how important it is for your business to have an authorization form, @DebSeaman.

 

 We don't have an exact date of when it will be available. Our engineers are still working on fixing this issue.

 

In the meantime, you can look for an Authorization form for an ACH agreement from outside QBO.

ECheck Authorization Form

The link in QBO doesn't work either.  I am baffled that this is an ongoing problem from early LAST YEAR.  How is that possible???

Thanks for following this thread, @stellarbookkeeping. I’ve got a solution for you to get the authorization form and start processing electronic transactions.


Since the link in QuickBooks Online doesn’t work, you can log in to your QuickBooks Payments or Merchant Service account to access and sign the authorization form.

 

  1. Sign in to Merchant Service Center.
  2. Go to the Processing Tools drop-down and choose Accept an eCheck.
  3. Enter all the information needed.
  4. Choose whether you have signed a signed authorization or your customer is on the phone.
  5. Select the box to confirm you've received signed/verbal authorization from your customer and that he or she consents. Here's the copy of the eCheck authorization form that your customer needs to sign and return to you.
  6. Click Submit to process the transaction.

You can also go to the Recurring Payments section to download the form. I’m glad to show you the steps:

 

  1. Within your Merchant Service account, click the Create recurring payment link under the Recurring Payments section.
  2. In the Set Up Recurring Payment page, scroll down to the Payment Method section and click the Signed authorization link. 
  3. Download or print the authorization form and send it to your clients.

I found the form that I was using a few years ago. While the QBO support team is taking time to fix the broken links, perhaps, some will find this old form useful.

In this case, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They're equipped with tools to check the cause. It'll also allow them to submit a ticket to our engineering team to alert them about the issue if necessary.

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Help (?).

  4. Click Ask about something else

  6. Choose a way to connect with us:
