Glad to have you here, stacey6!

I'll be happy to help you connect your HSBC credit card with QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:
    1. On the left panel, click Banking.
    2. Click Connect.
    3. Search for the HSBC credit card.
    4. Enter the "Username" and "Password" to sign in.
    5. Choose your account as "Credit Card".

After connecting the credit card, QuickBooks downloads your 90 days worth of transactions. Then, you can sort the transactions by clicking Category or Match, and you can also change the transaction category.

I also have an HSBC Business credit card which is accessed through evolve.us.hsbc.com and the posted solution does not work.

When I type HSBC Credit Card, I cannot find the "evolve" link in the list that shows up

Hello there, @fgval.

Thanks for joining the conversation and performing the steps shared above to connect your HSBC credit card.

There are several possible reasons why you can’t connect your credit card in QuickBooks:

  • The bank may not connect to all account types (personal accounts vs. business accounts).
  • Banks have multiple names on our list. Make sure to check and select the correct one, or try all possible links.
  • Your bank with the evolve.us.hsbc.com website may not be a participating bank. Please give them a call to request they establish a connection with Intuit.

I also recommend logging in to your bank’s website to check if they support QuickBooks Online Banking. If so, let’s set it up in your Chart of Accounts. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click New.
  3. Select the Account Type from the drop-down.
  4. Enter a name for the account in the Name field.
  5. In the Description field, enter a brief description of the account.
  6. Add an opening balance for the account in the Balance field.
  7. Hit Save and Close.

You’re now ready to activate online bank feeds. Simply click Connect bank on the Action column in the Chart of Accounts window. Then, follow the steps below:

  1. Select your bank/credit card or enter the name or URL.
  2. Enter your bank’s login credentials and click Log in.
  3. Check the box next to the credit card account you want to connect.
  4. Click the QuickBooks Account drop-down and select the credit card account you created.
  5. Hit Connect, then click I’m done. Let’s go!.

After this, you’ll find your credit card’s 90 days’ worth of transactions in the Banking page. Click the For Review tab to start categorizing and accepting them to QuickBooks.

That should do it. Reach out to me if you have any other concerns, I’m always here to help. Have a great day!
