NACHA File Download for Vendor Payments

I am trying to determine how to export a NACHA file from Quickbooks Desktop to upload to the bank for payments.  It looks like I may need a 3rd party to create this file but want to confirm before going down that path.

Yes, you'll need a 3rd party tool to create NACHA files from your QuickBooks data.

Our BRC Direct Deposit File Creator should work well for you. I'll create NACHA files with DD orders for Vendors and Employees, based on standard checks, bill payment checks, and paychecks.

Hello there, courtney.

Currently, there's no direct option for exporting the NACHA file in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Yes, you're right about looking for an application that helps you do it smoothly. If you consider utilizing one, you can search for the app from the App Center to integrate with QBDT. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu and select App Center:Find More Business Solutions.
  2. In the Apps for QuickBooks Desktop Marketplace window, search for an app from the field.
  3. Then, select the app from the list.

Or you can also go directly to this link and search for an app: https://desktop.apps.com/home. If you have further questions about the third-party application, you can always contact their customer service team for guidance.

You can also consider finding a third-party application outside QuickBooks.

Please know that you can always visit here if you have any questions. I'm always here to help. Take care and stay safe.

Hello. To clarify, can the NACHA format be set-up as a once and done thing through a third-party or does it have to be an on-going monthly or yearly subscription in order to work correctly?

Thank you

QuickBooks does not natively write NACHA files, so you'll need an add-on application to do that.

You may be able to find one that is a one time license purchase, though I don't know of any.

Our BRC Direct Deposit File Creator does require an annual license fee. See the link for pricing (currently just $89 a year).

Anyone know why QBO doesn't provide Nacha files to be uploaded to bank portals for vendor payables?  Seems like an easy process and one current users would appreciate!!!!

You can only process ACH payments in QuickBooks Online, Rcorden. While generating Nacha files is unavailable, I can lend a hand in finding a program that helps you upload vendor payables to bank portals.

Please know that we cannot suggest a third-party app that allows you to create ACH files to be uploaded to a bank. However, QuickBooks integrates with various software to meet your business needs. To proceed, visit this link and select the correct region: Apps for QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you can log into your QBO account  and follow these steps to check the app's features and user feedback:

  1. Go to the Apps menu.
  2. From the Find Apps tab, enter the keyword on the search bar.
  3. Choose an app from the list.

Furthermore, use the following resources to learn how to pay your bills via ACH directly and hassle-free:

Swing by if you have follow-up questions about managing ACH settlements. I'm always here to listen if you have other vendor discounts and bill payment concerns.
