Online quickbooks account cannot accept ACH Payments, Progress Invoice not working

We signed up for Quickbooks online, set up our Merchant Services account and we were not able to accept any type of payments via credit card, debit card or ACH. Also our progress invoicing feature under account settings does not stay saved. We are not able to progress invoice. We move the button to turn on progress invoicing and hit save. When we go to progress invoice, it doesn't work. We check the setting and it has defaulted back to OFF.

Currently we have had 06:43:00 of total phone call time with Quickbooks. We have spoken to customer service, payments and merchant services. They have told me they cant fix the issue.

As of now we can accept payments via credit/debit card but ACH doesn't work.

ACH error our clients get:

Online quickbooks account cannot accept ACH Payments, Progress Invoice not working

Hello Gblair1,

Thanks for reaching out to the QuickBooks Commmunity! This isn't the kind of service we would like you to experience. I just wanted to ask if you have reached out to your bank to see if there may have been a block or recent updates that may be affecting this?

Also, with the processing invoicing, is this happening in private browsing? If you are not sure, go ahead and try logging in using private browsing. This method ensures that the browser would not be able to store cookies, history, or any form of data that could cause issues.

  • Google Chrome:Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

After this, sign on and see if the information is being saved. I will be looking forward to your response! See you soon! Take care.

Online quickbooks account cannot accept ACH Payments, Progress Invoice not working

We have tried with 3 different banks. Clients have also tried with their own institutions. Our business account is with Chase. Some of our clients are using BofA and USAA. Nothing works. Its a real shame to because that was one of our reasons for buying this product.

We tried it on incognito mode on chrome and with edge. We turn on progress invoicing and hit save at the bottom. Try to do an invoice via estimate and it never gives us the option to progress invoice per the youtube help video. When we check the setting again, it is off.

Hello, Gblair1. Thank you for taking the time to perform the troubleshooting steps recommended by your colleagues. It shows your commitment to resolving the issue, which is highly appreciated.

First and foremost, it is important to ensure that the Progress Invoicing feature has been activated on the Account and Settings page and that the changes have been saved correctly. Make sure to click the Save button to save the changes. Once you have saved the changes, click the Done button to acknowledge them. This step is crucial to ensure that the program recognizes all changes and that your invoicing system functions correctly.

When creating a template for progress invoicing, it is important to use the Airy New template as it is the only template that works for progress invoices. Progress invoicing is a feature that allows invoicing for work done on a project, tracking the progress of a project, and sending invoices based on the project's progress.

The Airy New template is specifically designed to support the unique invoicing requirements of progress invoicing. Using the Airy New template ensures that all necessary information, such as project details, percentage of completion, and outstanding balances, is included in the invoice.

The template also allows you to add or remove the fields as per your requirements, making it more flexible for different kinds of projects. To use the Airy New template, navigate to the Gear icon and select the Custom Form Styles option. From there, choose the progressing invoice template and Edit it. Then, under Design, select Airy New from the templates list. You can customize the template to match your brand's colors and add or remove fields per your requirements. It is important to default the Airy New template every time you create an invoice for progress invoicing to ensure that all necessary information is included in the invoice.

If the same issue persists even after performing the recommended steps, I suggest contacting our customer support team for further assistance. Our team has the necessary tools and expertise to pull up your account details and help identify the root cause of the issue. They will also provide the best solution to ensure your invoicing system functions correctly.

Thank you for your response.

I have tried those steps a few times. Multiple saved settings with no fix.

The ACH is more of a problem as I cannot receive payments from my customers. I have spent over six hours with customer service, payments and merchant services. So, far they have told me it won't work but no reason why.

I'm having the same issue with progress payments and customer service response is we are aware and working on it. No idea as to when it will be resolved......how about reverting to the previous version until the current version actually works?!

I didn't have a previous version. We switched from another software entirely. A large reason was we needed that feature.

I have called, sent emails... they don't care. Its the way all these companies are going. They don't care about customer service anymore. Or AI doesn't know what customer service is.

Long story short. I will be now looking for another service as we are now having other troubles with the software.

Hi there, @Gblair1.

This isn't the kind of service we'd want you to experience in QuickBooks. I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter the same issue repeatedly. If I were in your shoes, I would feel the same way.

To address this problem, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Payments Team once again. I know you've already contacted them multiple times, but I genuinely believe that giving them another chance could lead to a resolution. By contacting our support team, they can review your previous tickets and escalate the problem to ensure it gets fixed.

Also, I've added these articles to learn more about how you can take and process payments in QuickBooks:

Please let me know the result of your last interactions with our phone supports. I want to make sure you're able to address your payment concerns with QuickBooks Payments. Take care.

I am having the same exact issue and have had the same experience as OP.  I've spent at least 12 hours on the phone with customer service reps who have come up with every excuse in the book, but in the end have not fixed a service that I AM PAYING FOR.  So disappointed with Quickbooks.  Fix this immediately and stop making excuses.
