QuickBooks has our payment on Hold for over 3+ weeks. They first said 5 days since its our first payment. Then after the 5th day they requested additional information that was going to take 2 days to review after the FORTH DAY they requested more information its been another FIVE DAYS. We call just to be on hold for over 1 hour to a rep that advised 'not to send more paperwork if requested ?????????????'. Online payments TURNED OFF and I'm also considering cancelling my service.
You'll receive an email with detailed instructions on what additional information is needed in order to complete our review. Usually, this will take 2 business days for the review to be completed.
NO EMAIL, NO UPDATE

This is a LIE I'm on the phone with 2 reps as I'm typing and they each give me different information one says that the manager responsible on acct will not be in until 10 am the other agent says i have to wait 2 more days because she escalated to resolution. Is this how you do business??/ so it okay you hold MY MONEY FOR AS LONG AS YOU WISH???????????? and 2 different people giving me BS??????????????????
Hey @seaportchels ,
Sorry you're having that experience with Intuit Merchant Services. You're not alone, it's one of the major reasons businesses outgrow Quickbooks payments eventually. Intuit is a Payment Facilitator built upon First Data merchant services, as a sub-merchant you are subject to their frustrating funding delays and holds.
If you're looking at alternatives to QB Payments a couple methods are 1. Melio (Stripe Reseller) and 2. Going directly to First Data.
Best of luck!
I will sure look into it. QB is a headache.
I have had this same issue. Quickbooks is a SCAM. They do not want to release my money that has been in their account for more than 2 weeks. This is beyond unprofessional. Especially for people trying to RUN A BUSINESS.
DO NOT USE QUICKBOOKS. AS SOON AS I RECEIVE FUNDS, WE ARE SWITCHING. AGAIN, DO NOT USE QUICK BOOKS. THEY ARE A SCAM AND WILL NOT RELEASE MONEY THAT IS YOURS.
I am in the same situation. They have been holding my hard earned money for over a month. With zero explanation or time frame. Every time I ask to speak with a supervisor I get hung up on. Have you gotten any where with your funds yet?
It took 22 days for me to receive the funds. I did receive them but still never got any reasoning behind it. I hope you get yours situated.
Our funds of $50000 has been on hold since 7/12/2023. QuickBook closed our account and kept the funds from our clients all these days and still on hold. These funds are from 10 different parents paying for their children’s childcare fees. We have been calling the numbers every day and no one knows how to help us. It is so frustrating to be trapped like this and it is not fair for these families to deal with this for no reason.
We have the same situation $12,000 holding in Quickbooks bank acct, money from clients.
We are not US citizens and they still said the SSN is mandatory to finish payment setup.
Don’t know what to do, we stayed almost 5 hours on phone and live chat…
Your complaint is absolutely 100% valid. We are a high end client of Wells Fargo- they call it a CEO level.
QB has held up over $145,000 in payments because they say Wells Fargo refused a $2 fee on a transaction!! Once that $2 was denied , they hold ALL other money transfers until it is resolved. They notify you a few days later. You get on phone for 2 hours with both Wells Fargo and QB to resolve once and for all.
Wells Fargo sends the required letter and everything APPEARS fine. Then it starts all over again!! I’m on my fourth issue. Now it $68,000.
I am considering a class action as I strongly believe there is a profit motive involved because no system could be this bad by accident.
We have been waiting for our payment for a month now, I have called over 7 times and they always tell me something different and now they are telling me that our money is on hold and we have to wait few months to get our money into our account. I do not know what to do now
We are in the same situation as you they keep asking for e SSN and we already told them we do not have one and always tell us something different I do not know what to do.
