Payments scheduled by Melio prior to Dec 11 & more Q's

If I have scheduled payments with Melio inside QBO and the due date is after Dec 11, will those payments be processed?  Or will I have to login directly to Melio to make those payments?

My plan is to continue to use Melio since I have everyone getting paid via ACH and it's free.  Is there any prep I need to do for this transition?  Just plan on logging into Melio vs paying bills directly within QBO? Is there data that needs to be transferred, or since I'm already synced, I'm good to go?

Thanks

As long as you can log into your Melio account directly, you're good to go. You'll find the stand-alone Melio account offers more features.

Hi there, @Heredine33.

QuickBooks Online recently announced the discontinuation of the Melio integration. I understand how challenging it can be when transferring from one service to another. However, you can migrate from Melio to QuickBooks Bill Pay. This change is part of QuickBooks' efforts to improve bill payment services and provide more features to users.

We recommend submitting your payment before the due date to ensure timely processing, as Melio Bill Pay will no longer be available after December 11, 2023. Otherwise, you'll need to login to Melio website and process the payments there.

You can check this article to learn how to use QuickBooks Bill Pay: Learn about QuickBooks Bill Pay.

I'm always available to assist you if you have further questions about Melio's disintegration with QuickBooks Online.

@Heredine33

You should immediately sign up for a free Melio account and it will sync your data. I would recommend no longer scheduling any bill payments in Billpay powered by Melio to avoid any issues.

I guess this is what I am unclear about.  I have always logged into melio from inside QB.  But I can and have logged into Melio directly.  So am I all set?  I tried to do a chat with Melio yesterday and sat in there forever waiting. Seemsl ike they'd put out more information if they don't want to lose current users.

I'm also using Melio directly. I have a client that only began using billpay in November so I thought they were going to be forced onto QB Billpay but I was able to get them set up directly in Melio. Best part is, even though QBO claims not to sync anymore it is still sending the info to Melio.

I create bills in QBO and they show up in Melio no problem. And since I would wait for the payments to clear my bank account anyways, the communication the other way doesn't matter to me at all.

It's nice to have the familiarity with Melio directly as they integrate with Xero too. It's nice only having to learn one new thing at a time

If you're already synced with QBO through Melio you should be all set. You can log into Melio by going to meliopayments.com and clicking on login. You can use your Intuit credentials by clicking on login with Intuit from there. Once you’re logged into Melio, click on Settings and then on Accounting Software Sync. If it’s not already connected, click on Connect under Quickbooks Online. You’ll then be prompted to go through the sync process!

I'm really hoping you can help me as well... I was unaware that the Melio payment "portal" that I've been using from inside my Desktop version of QB was going to be discontinued, so obviously I had some problems when I tried to pay bils back before Christmas.  Unfortunately, QB just turned off the feature but didn't bother adding a message indicating that it was no longer supported.  It would let me select bills and then when I click "Schedule payment" it just closed... that was it.  No other information.   Then, it took 2 screen shares, several emails and a couple phone calls, before one of the Quickbooks support personnel told me it was being "sunsetted" and that I would need to login directly to Melio.com with my Intuit credentials and pay from there.

Unfortunately, when I try to do that, it doesn't work.  I enter my QB login information, it has me to a ID verification code through my email and it appears to accept all of that, but then it just reloads a simple login screen again.

Attempts to get help from Intuit/Quickbooks/Melio has been worthless... the latest email I got from them said I should create a new organziation since I'm trying to switch to QBO... but I'm NOT trying to switch... I never mentioned QBO and I don't want it.  I don't know if they got me confused with another customer, but I have zero confidence that they know what is going on or will be able to fix it.

Any ideas on what I can do?  I've attempted logins to Melio.com (using the "Sign in with Intuit" button) on different browsers, different PCs and in incognito modes... same result every time.

@ASMC74

If you are using QB Desktop, you will need another workaround.

1. Click on the following link

https://affiliates.meliopayments.com/cashback

2. Click on the "Get $100 cashback" button

3. You will see the "Sign up" landing page

4. Complete your company email address and password to proceed.

5. Do not use the "Sign-in with Intuit" or "Connect with Google" button to avoid issues

Please note, your Melio account will be stand-alone and it won't integrate with QB Desktop, unless you want to accept payments with Melio.

Except this is false... you can't just sign up for Quickbooks Online bill pay because it isn't available to everyone. Shame on you QuickBooks trying to monopolize AGAIN. You take away our only bill pay options, and yet you don't even have the replacement available. Your support people have no answers, except that it isn't available to my account yet and I will have to figure something else out. This is causing damages to our company and you guys falsely advertising a program that actually isn't available yet is sure to have legal repercussions.
