Quickbooks Melio integration

I am working in Quickbooks 22 Desktop Pro Plus

Does anyone know how to work with the new bill pay system with Melio?  According to Quickbooks tech I have everything set up correctly: Bank of America changed to new, software updated, etc.  cannot send an ACH to Chase, Home Depo Credit, and many more. have been directed to call or email to get routing #, acct. #.  They don't even know what I'm talking about and they don't have email addresses. I have sent 2 paper checks that were rejected.(to venders I have had for over 10yrs.) don't know why I would pay $1.50 to send a paper check when my bank does it for free.   Everything was seamless now it seems to not work at all.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Greg

Quickbooks Melio integration

I'm determined to improve your experience with our support and products, @gmgjr1. I also appreciate all your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

I understand how important it is for us to pay our long-term vendor on time. I've some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the problem as early as possible.

Ensure that you have entered the two Melio micro-deposits (less than $1). This way, your account will be fully authenticated and be able to send payments. Please know that Bill Pay can only facilitate domestic ACH and Paper Check payments within the US.

To verify, here's how:

  1. Go to your Bill Pay Settings.
  2. Search for the bank account you'd like to verify.
  3. Click Verify account link and enter the two deposit amounts you received.

I'd advise using the verify and rebuild tools if the account is verified but still can't send money to the bank mentioned above. This tool will assist in the repair of any damaged company files. For the complete steps, see this link: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

If the issue persists, I'd suggest contacting our Intuit Bill Pay support powered by Melio again at support@qbdtusers.melio.com. They can review your integration and account settings in a safe place to pinpoint the source of the issue. Once the permanent solution is available, our specialists will walk you through the implementation process.

Regarding the processing fees, standard payments made via bank transfer (ACH) will not incur any transaction fees. However, you'll be charged $1.50 per transaction for ACH to paper check bill payments. Melio will bill the 2.9% transaction fee separately from the original payment for Debit and Credit Card payments.

For our expedited payment options, here are the associated fees:

  • Fast ACH*: 1% of the total transaction amount
  • Fast Check: $20 flat fee

The $1.50 fee per transaction covers printing, postage, and handling. Melio charges this to eliminate your bank details in the check. This way, someone can't use it to make payments or fake a transaction. For more information, check out this article: Pay bills online from QuickBooks Desktop

Quickbooks Melio integration

I don't know where 'Bill Pay' settings are. if it is in preferences there is nothing about verify. When quickbooks tech 'walked' me through set up this was not addressed. I have been able to send a check out, another one was sent back.   Everything I read refers to Quickbooks Online, I have Quickbooks desktop 22 pro plus. I have done everything in the articles and my screen looks just like the examples. Everything communicates. The software wants information I don't have access to ie: routing and account numbers.

although I have an intuit account I work in the Right Networks hosted environment and part of my service with them includes quickbooks updates. does any of that make a difference?

I am lost here.

Thank you for coming back to the Community, gmgjr1.

It's my priority to ensure you can pay bills online directly from QuickBooks with just a few clicks.

To verify the account, I've added the complete steps below:

  1. Open Bill Pay.
  2. Select Settings located on the page header.
  3. Choose the Vendors menu and scroll through the list to find the correct vendor.

For the routing and account numbers needed, I'd recommend reaching out to your vendors to get these details.

I'd also suggest contacting Bill Pay Support to determine if the software works with Right Networks.

Once everything is set up, your vendor will get an email when you schedule a payment. The following resources provide more info about this feature and include detailed steps to pay your vendors:

Keep me posted on how these steps help you out. I'm always here to help if you have other concerns regarding the Online Bill Pay service.
