quickbooks payments

when I try to signup for payments within Quickbooks, I keep getting rejected with no reason given.  When I talked to a person in the Payments department, she couldn't tell me the reason why either.  Does anyone know how to get this done?

thank you

I see you want to overcome the issues when signing up for a QuickBooks Payments account, @kmoore6. I'm here to share with you some information about the process.

You must meet certain standards in order to submit applications without being rejected. The following is a list of possible causes why you're unable to activate the online payment feature:

  • Type of products or services you sell
  • Industries that are categorized as high-risk merchants (For example: Firearm sellers, vape and e-cigarette merchants, alcohol, and cigars)
  • Credit History

I suggest getting in touch with our Payments Support for more details about the enrollment. Once you open the link, go to the QuickBooks Online with Payments & Merchant Service Center to get the number you can call.

I've also included some articles to find out the terms and agreements and other business types unacceptable in QB Payments. You can navigate to step 3 from the second article to see details about Prohibited Activities and Business Types.

@kmoore6

Are you running a B2B or B2C company? You can use 3rd party payment processors to integrate with QBO.

Hi

It is a B2C company.  What 3rd party processors would you recommend?

Thanks
