Quickbooks POS and Gopayment

I have been using gopayment for some time.  Every time I use it, the mobile items in POS will change the account mapping to the default mapping for items.  This is a critical problem that has yet to be solved by updates.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community, ldbaldy.

Let's make sure the POS items are sync in your GoPayment app. This can help prevent changing the account mapping of your items.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your Intuit Payments Account.
  2. On the upper right, select the $ Sign In icon. If you have multiple accounts, select the account you wish to use.
  3. Once complete, click the cloud ☁ icon on the upper right.
  4. Select View Sync Preferences where: Mobile sync can be turned on or off. You can increase or decrease sync frequency.
  5. Select Sync Data and then Save.

Learn about adding items in your GoPayment app through this article: Mobile Payments items in GoPayment app FAQs.

Here's an additional article to become more familiar with accepting payments in the GoPayment app: Process payments in the GoPayment app.

Let me know the result of this troubleshooting in the comment below. I need to make sure this is resolved and you're able to recreate and send the copy. All the best!

Quickbooks POS and Gopayment

It is set to sync automatically for Quickbooks POS.  The account mapping changes in POS when we use the Gopayment app on our phones for the items that are set to mobile.

Thanks for getting back here, @oldbaldy.

To further verify the root cause of the issue, I recommend reaching out to our Point of Sale (POS) Support team. Using their tools, they can securely check your account to determine what actions you need to take as well as assist you throughout the process.

You can also visit this article to learn more about POS by reading those most commonly asked questions: QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS) FAQ.

Just in case you'll want to update your data, you can import and export the information in your file using Excel. For the detailed steps, see this page: QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale: Import and Export overview. This also provides you guidance in formatting your spreadsheet.

I just got off the phone with Support.  I was told that this is just how the integration works.  I am so frustrated.  I was told a few years ago that Intuit was aware of the problem and they were working on it.  Is this ever going to work correctly?
