We require a 50% deposit to be made at the time of booking. All of a sudden my clients are being sent a reminder to pay the deposit when they have already paid it. This makes us look very unprofessional. I did not set this up. How do I stop it?
Hi there, Slholden.
Thank you for vising the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing detailed steps to ensure your client stops receiving invoices reminder.
There's a feature in QuickBooks Online where you can automatically send reminders to customers or clients when invoices are soon to be overdue. It could be the Automatic invoice reminders option is turned on and that's why your clients received a reminder to pay the deposit when they have already paid the entry.
I recommend going to the Reminders section and turning off the Automatic invoice reminders to stop reminding your clients about invoice due dates.
Here's how:
Additionally, instead of setting up automatic reminders, you have the option to send them manually. You can open this article to see further details and how to perform the process: Send invoice reminders automatically or manually in QuickBooks Online.
Lastly, you may refer to this article to see steps on how you can edit or delete an invoice payment and group multiple payments together into a single deposit: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Hi! Just a follow-up question on this. Do we have the option to turn off the automatic reminder just for a specific customer?
Hello there, @megan59.
The Automatic Invoice Reminders feature applies to all invoices. Thus turning off automatic reminders for a specific customer is currently unavailable.
I recognize that this option is beneficial to you and your business. While this feature isn't available, I suggest submitting feedback directly to our product engineers. They may look into this suggestion further and consider adding the option in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To submit feedback, you can go to the Gear icon and select Feedback. Then, enter your suggestion and click Submit Feedback.
You can also visit our Customer Feedback page. This will help you track the status of your product request and get the latest updates from our developers. Updates such as how the recent enhancement made to QBO helps our business owners, like you.

Does not work, I still get a popup reminder when I log in to Quickbooks. I don't need Quickbooks telling me how to bother my clients.
How do you stop the popup reminder of an overdue invoice?
I would never let Quickbooks contact a customer directly, nor would I want to share that sort of information with Quickbooks. With the penchant for trying to sell people on unneeded items, I can see Quickbooks taking the list of emails they have in your customer base and harassing my customers.
