I'm curious on where you saw the lightning symbol. More details on where it is shown would definitely help me define what it is.
Just a quick note on it, it does exist on other QuickBooks versions. It would mean that an online banking connection is enabled. Though, it could mean a different thing for QuickBooks Self-Employed.
