Why am I NOT able to update Credit Card information for out-of- country credit card? - Australia.

RE: not able to enter new expiration date for out of country credit card. I was told QB most likely made an update to their system. I was not able to find out when or why.

Let me help with your question about updating billing information, ccmcsmith.

 

You actually need to have a card that has a US-based billing address if you're using a USA version of QuickBooks Online. This is the reason why you're unable to update the billing details. Accepted cards include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Thank you.  The out of country credit card issue has never come up before. We have clients in India, Canada, Australia and the UK.

Appears this issue was not resolved because I am not running into the same issue. My credit card has expired and I am trying to update my account to the new one and it will not let me. It is asking for a USA mailing address and I am in Canada. 

 

What is the fix for this?

Hi there. I'd like to make sure you get the help you need with updating your payment method in QuickBooks. In order to get to the bottom of the issue you've described above, I recommend getting in touch with our support team using the details below:

 

  • Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > enter "Contact support" > choose Contact Us > provide a brief summary > select Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
  • Social MediaFacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
  • Support hours are from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

I tried that and those options are not available off the iOS app. It will not let me send a message to support and that is it.

 

it appears there is no access to support to get this resolved which is terrible?
