Hello there, @larrylook,
Once you turn on mileage tracking, QuickBooks automatically detects and tracks your trips from start to finish. Once, you have a trip the date and time are recorded in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on our QuickBooks Self-Employed servers. Thus, when running reports, QBSE analyzes the time based on the QBSE server time zone which is the GMT.
However, you can manually track the trip in your QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Feel free to get back in touch with me if you have any other concerns in QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you out. Take good crae.
I understand your response, but the issue I asked about, should not be happening at all. For Instance, I took a trip on May 15, 2020 with one stop. When the trip was complete, I opened the app to view the "Unreviewed" trips. The portion of the trip before the stop had a date of May 14, whereas the return trip had a date of May 15. If I'm going to have to manually correct the first trip of every day, then perhaps Quickbooks Self Employed isn't an app that I can count on.
Good Morning, @larrylook.
Thanks for reaching back out to the Community. It's my priority that you're able to get this resolved as soon as possible. Since you've tried all of the steps above from my colleagues, then I suggest updating the app to the latest version. Below is a link that can help you out.
If you're using an iPhone or iPad, update your device to the latest version of iOS. It needs to be iOS 12.2 or later to work properly. Here's an extra article that can provide additional troubleshooting steps to help resolve this mileage problem.
In the end, if you're still running into the same complication, then I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They have more advanced tools to look further into your account to get an explanation of why this is happening when your recording mileage.
I'm only a post away if you need me. Take care!
Thanks for your quick response. Currently, my ios version is 13.4.1. Quickbooks Self Employed was updated to version 6.2.4 two days ago, but I haven't gone anywhere since. I am going out later today. I'll check the trips when I return home. If i continue to have the problem, I'll let you know. Thanks again.
Hey there, @larryloo.
That sounds great! Just keep the Community posted so that we can make sure your issue gets resolved.
I'll be waiting for your response.
I took a trip yesterday, and the Self Employed app did not record any mileage at all! I drove approximately 10 miles then, after about a one hour stop, I made a 9 mile trip, stopped for about 5 minutes and then drove approximately 30 miles. NONE of that mileage was recorded. My phone is on ios version 13.4.1 and the Self Employed app version is 6.2.4 I checked all of my settings, the Auto-tracking switch is ON in the app. In Settings > Privacy > Location Services, Location Services is ON. In Settings > Self Employed, Location=Always; Motion & Fitness, Background App Refresh and Cellular Data are all ON. Settings > Bluetooth and Settings > Wi-Fi are both ON. This is so frustrating. I really like QuickBooks Self Employed. I've been using it for a while track mileage and expenses. But I need an app I can rely upon, and right now, Self Employed is not reliable.
