Received an email that I would be paid on 2/22. It’s now 2/27 and I have not received payment. Why?

I have not been paid the amount it said would be paid even though the money has been taken out of the other person’s account. What is going on?

I appreciate you taking the time to share this feature with us here in the Community. Here is some information to help you achieve your goal.

If this is your first payment received through our QuickBooks Payments feature/product, it may take up to five business days to deposit into your account. Your initial deposits will take a little longer while we set up your merchant account. When we're finished, your payments will typically be deposited within two business days.

Also, let me guide you to the best way to contact the right person to get the help you need. To speak with one of our experts from the QuickBooks Merchant Support Team, you may scroll down to the bottom part of the article to see their contact information.

I also recommend reviewing some of our commonly asked payment questions through this article: QuickBooks Payments FAQ.

You can contact us from Mondays to Fridays, 6 AM to 6 PM PT.

If you haven't received your money within the time frame I specified, please don't hesitate to reach out again. I'm just one post away!

Quickbooks has held 23k of our money since August 2022.  I have called 13 times, have had 5 Case#s opened, spent over 14 hours on the phone and still no money and nothing resolved.

They keep asking for a bank letter (which our bank has provided) and for us to continually update our account information (which has not changed in 10+ years and is used daily for domestic and international wires successfully).

My most recent communication happened this past Tuesday where Sharmestha asked me- AGAIN- to input our account information (which I did- AGAIN) and I have yet to hear back from her and my only recourse- other than replying to the email- is to call the call centre for the 14th time, spend more time, and get probably my 6th Case #.

This is totally and completely unacceptable and criminal behavior.

Has anyone in these forums had to sue Quickbooks? I am asking our legal representative to look at this since I am at my wits end.

If you use the search bar at the top of the page, here in the community, you will find a LARGE number of people that have had the same issue.  Some of which have said they are, or have taken legal action.

Sue them!!  They need and deserve it.

Also, file complaints everywhere that you can think of.  BBB, FTC, Attorney General... Everywhere possible.  This company needs to learn that they can't and won't get away with what they are doing to it's customers.  More people need to file these complaints, just to get the point across.

Good luck.

I heard your sentiments, and I can imagine what you're going through, @GSMI. I also appreciate you notifying us about the issue of the amount held in QuickBooks Payments.

It shows that our QuickBooks payments staff is reviewing and double-checking your money. Please know that they will contact you and keep you updated at any moment via email message soon as everything is clear.

Additionally, we deposit your funds within five business days after your first payment. Your first deposits take longer while we set up your merchant account. After that, your payments will deposit quicker, typically within two business days. See this article: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

If you haven't heard from or received any notification from them after a period of time, I urge you to post here again in the Community. So we can take other solutions and actions.

Remember that we are always ready to help you. We are willing to work with you to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Just got the latest email from the "Quickbooks Support team"- shock and surprise the get the 5th request to update a new bank letter. This is a joke, right?

Submit a bank letter

If you need to submit a letter to Intuit from your bank to resolve an issue, there are several requirements. The letter needs to clearly state the reason the payment was rejected and that you followed the steps in the email to resolve it.

In addition, your bank letter must include all of the following:

  • Official bank letterhead.
  • State that the issue with the account was resolved and the account is open and available for both bank payments debits and credits.
  • Include your case number or Merchant Account Number (this info is in the email we send you).
  • Include your bank account number and the routing number.
  • Include a telephone number for a bank representative.
  • Be signed and dated by a bank representative.

Once the bank account has been updated, use the link provided in the email to upload the completed bank letter.

There IS NO BANK ISSUE- the issue is Quickbooks deciding not to send our money. This is criminal and you're messing with thew wrong company this time.

Govern yourself accordingly Intuit.
