I have a $49k deposit on hold for 10 days now. 6 calls to resolution center. I was “assured” by them on the phone deposit was going to clear twice. On the days they specified in that assurance I received another email. With more questions. Every time i call the person assured me everything was set,but i had to wait 2 more days. My business and my life are in the balance and i am told that no one who can help me has a phone at intuit. There is something called the operations center that reviews and asks the questions but we can’t talk to them. My new business and my reputation is about to be destroyed because the client wants to know where their money is, and when i will have access to it. I’ve given them answers based on what the resolution center “assured” me multiple times, and still have nothing to show for it. I can’t even give them a receipt for the $49k because I don’t have it. And im not sure im going to get it. I’m devastated right now and fear i am going to have a lawsuit against me
Sadly, @Mrt22, far too many QB/ Intuit customers are having this same issue. If you use the Search bar at the top of any page, here in the community, you will find a LOT of threads with this same issue. Most, of which, never get their money, and are told to collect it from their state, after a few months.
Here in the community, the new thing is that they "file a formal complaint with the office of the president". Trust me, it's nothing. It does as much as contacting "Support".
There is no way to file a complaint with the company. It is suggest that you post reviews wherever you can, and file complaints with the BBB and FTC, as well as anywhere else you can think of.
Good luck.
Hello there, @Mrt22.
I hear your sentiments and want to make it up to you by pointing you in the right direction for assistance. I noticed that you have a similar post to the other thread wherein one of my colleagues has already answered.
If you're un-notified of his reply, you'll want to go to this link for his answer: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/payments/re-contact-number-for-the-resolution-cent...
Since you mentioned above that you've been on the phone with a representative, we'll also take note of that experience to share with the team and put action into it. It also helps us improve our way of delivering a resolution to our valued customers.
Stay in touch regarding your withheld deposit. I want to ensure that this will get sorted out. Stay safe!
So on day 11 I just got another email asking another question. The same question was asked on day 6. I already had hours of phone calls regarding this question and was “assured” it was taken care of. They are asking for 6 months of bank statements. My business is 5 weeks old. They told me to upload the statements I have for the business account, and 6 months of my personal account. I did that. 6 days ago. I am having the client cancel the transfer. I am contacting the BBB, a lawyer, and because of this I have a contact with the attorney general now. I can’t believe I listened to them when they told me not to reverse it. I have been lied in every conversation on the phone. “Assured” “promised”. And as far is I’ve been told, and can see, there is no one at intuit to try to help solve these problems. The resolution center offered me no resolution and is now recycling questions I have spent hours answering already. Devastated
I’ve been fighting tooth and nail for 7 weeks trying to get 3k back that they are holding.
I wish you didn't have to go through that, @lowellh9112. Let me make it up to you and ensure you can receive your funds.
For instance, you'll receive an email that include steps to follow when you're funds is onhold.
Usually, QuickBooks Payment team will request additional information to finish the review process. Once we have everything, we can complete our review within two business days. After the review, we can finish processing the payment.
If you've done this already and the issue persists, I highly suggest contacting our payment support team. They have the necessary tools to check your account and verify the status of your funds. For detailed steps, please see this reference: Contact payment support.
Additionally, let me share these resources that contain details about funds that are on hold and how to minimize or prevent them in the future:
Feel free to update us, and keep in touch if you have further concerns with your funds that are onhold. We want to make sure this is resolved for you. Take care and stay safe.

trash and fluff
Quickbooks has held 2/3 of my payments so far with more payments scheduled to come in, I don't understand how this is legal for Quickbooks to hold payments. Are they trying to run a bank and accrue interesting while they "review" transactions. This is horrible for any small business for a company to hold payments ransom for their benefit.
Did you ever get your funds, i am going through this now for 17 days, 28 calls, and over 7 hours on the phone with them
I did finally get my money. It took almost 12 weeks.
Currently dealing with exactly the same thing and have been having the same experience.
It's amazing that even though you have opened multiple cases, etc, you still have to explain the entire situation again to their first level support. It's outrageous how much time Intuit makes a customer waste trying to figure out a solution to this issue.
Note: I'm only on business day 14, I guess I have several more weeks to wait according to this thread.
Absolutely meaningless and useless replies.
Intuit has played this sick sadistic joke with me as well.
anyone affected by this fraud perpetrated by Intuit MUST first set up a new payment processor to have a new way to process electronic funds THEN contact their state’s attorney general’s office, file complaints with BBB and reach out to a business attorney. They are telling me that a class-action legal suit is not out of the question.
Unreal. That is nothing more than theft and blatant ineptitude
I'm glad your deposit released?
I am on my 33rd day and 38th or more daily phone calls, and something like 15 help tickets or escalation tickets to them with nothing but "please give it 24 to 48 hours to process" for 33 days now. I am totally down for a class action law suit.
I am going through something very similar it has been about a month and the amount is close to 49K
it just says undeposited but I have been given no info of a withhold or a freeze and I need them to release the funds
Unfortunately I join this BIG SCAM my business is about to close QuickBooks has withheld 101K of three payments, my clients are upset and they think I have scammed them, this is incredible, did anyone find a good lawyer to help with this? I want to sue as soon as possible.
Dealing with the same thing here. Try to create a case in the resolution center and it deletes it immediately. They say they have no record of my trying to do anything. Called four times already and they just keep telling me to try the same thing. Only $4000 held up here but I don’t have time to be making phone calls and very day dealing with this BS.
I am currently dealing with this issue. QB is holding 25k and has 0 explanation as to why it is being held.
I am now negative in my regular bank account, cannot pay my employees, and cannot continue to do business.
Every time I call I am told there is nothing they can do. I can't get any answers.
I see I am not the only one having issues with payments withheld. Seven phone calls so far over the last 11 days. Currently over $70K of payments withheld because a $3 ACH fee payment to Quickbooks was mistakenly denied by one of my partners at my Chase bank account. The payment center says I need to upload a letter from the bank stating there are no further restrictions on ACH payments to Quickbooks to release the withheld funds. I have had the letter ready for 10 days, but Quickbooks are unable to send me a link to upload the letter. There is not other way to upload the letter without the link. The issue has been escalated four times in the payment center. During the last call Quickbooks said the 2nd and 3rd escalations were not done properly and the first one was overlooked. Quickbooks promised this 4th escalation would work this time within 48 hours, which they said after each escalation. Here we are after 48 hours still no link to upload the bank letter which has been ready to go for 10 days, and no answer at the support line over the weekend. I can't believe all this happened because a $3 fee payment was rejected. Quickbooks has a serious problem with their payment resolution center. This could be a really great product, but is doomed for failure if they don't improve their ability to resolve simple issues like this. I would be out of business if I treated my customers like Quickbooks is treating me.
This situation is exactly what i am experiencing now with INtuit payments, They are stealing $5600 dollars+ from me. Obviously they will keep the money. I have a combined 6 hours+ invsested in phones calls to them to attempt to "resvolve" the situation, Have spoken to probably 8 different people. Today I am told that the funds that have been witheld, will not be released...and that I should call my customers ( 25 of them, who paid me for good that i delivered weeks ago) and ask them to a) call their credit card company b) do a charge back c) when they get their refund to CALL ME so i can RE-CHARGE them. That is one fo the most idiotic, non sensical suggestions i have heard in my LONG business career. I am left with the idea that these people at Intuit Payments are crimenals. I do not know what else to say. I will be contacting my states attorney genral on this issue
Initial post is from 3 years ago. And here I am in 2024 dealing with the same issue of funds being withheld. Unbelievable.
