Hello, @J33P.
Thank you for reaching out for assistance. To better address your query, please specify where in QuickBooks you encountered the 'Settings - Tap to Pay' option. It's important to note that this option is not visible when completing transactions during invoice creation.
To access the Tap to Pay feature, it's essential to have a QuickBooks Payments account linked to the GoPayment app. If you plan to use this feature, please ensure that your QuickBooks Payments account is active and properly connected. You will also need to acquire a card reader, which is necessary for processing payments through swiping, dipping, or tapping credit cards in the GoPayment app.
If you have already issued an invoice through QuickBooks Solopreneur, your customers can conveniently pay online via the invoice link sent in the email. This method is one of the quickest and easiest ways to receive payments.
Additionally, QuickBooks Solopreneur offers sales reports such as Sales by Customer Summary and Sales by Product/Service Summary, to help you monitor your income transactions. You can visit the Reports menu to pull them up.

From the quickbook app: menu, intuit account & setting in the bottom under subscription and payment wich both are active their is an option tap to pay with iPhone wich you can enable and inside their is a description :
Give it a try by receiving payment on an open invoice or charging cards from a sales receipt.
This doesn't make sense. Quickbooks says Tap to Pay now available on iPhone without a card reader. I have tap to pay enabled on my iPhone in the Quickbooks app. I have the GoPayment app and it is linked to my account but it is still telling me in the GoPayment app that I need a card reader. So I keep seeing "tap to pay now available without a card reader" but you are saying a card reader is required for tap to pay. So is a card reader required and if so why does QuickBooks keep sending me notifications saying it is available Without a card reader on iPhone? My phone and both apps are up to date.
Your efforts in joining this conversation are much appreciated, davis. Card readers aren't required for you to utilize the Tap to Pay feature on your iOS devices. Let me elaborate on the specifics below.
With Apple's new Tap to Pay feature available on the latest iOS version, merchants can now seamlessly accept payments on the go without needing card readers. Since you have already enabled this functionality but are still experiencing issues, I recommend offloading or clearing the app data to resolve the problem.
