Two merchant accounts

Can you have 2 merchant accounts on one QBO company, depositing two different bank accounts?

Two merchant accounts

I am not sure they will approve it. Consider having a 3rd party merchant service as a workaround.

Two merchant accounts

Let me share details to help with your concern about adding Merchant account, Denise91.

For now, you can only connect one Merchant account for every QBO company. You'll want to use use a single Merchant account for all customer payments or add a second QBO company.

Here's how:

Visit the QuickBooks pricing page and select the subscription option you want. This opens one of two experiences:

  • If you're logged in to QuickBooks, confirm the account you want to use. If the account displayed is the correct one, select Yes, that’s correct.
  • If you haven’t signed in recently,  you’ll be asked to create an Intuit account. Don't fill this out unless you want to connect your new company file to a new account. Instead, look for the Adding a company to an existing account? section and select the Sign in link. Sign in with the user ID and password you already use for QuickBooks.

Here's an article for more details: Create or Add Another Company File to QuickBooks Online.

Then, follow the steps in this article on how to add the second merchant account to the other QBO company: Connect your QuickBooks Payments Account to QuickBooks Online.

Additional articles and references when using the feature are also provided in this page: QuickBooks Payments FAQ.
