In QB Desktop, is there a way to print a remittance advice?
I've paid a sister company via my bank's Transfer process, but need to print a remit advice so my staff can "receive payments" in the sister company's A/R. Does anyone know of a workaround? I know QBD doesn't support advices for EFT payments (WHAT?!?!?!!?) but trying to see if anyone in the community has come up with a workaround. I'm a little clumsy in QBD, as 99% of my clients use QBO, so maybe I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks in advance!
I’ve got you covered, leeseinmt.
Let me share a workaround on how to print a remittance advice in QBDT.
We’ll have to open the Transaction List by Vendor Report and print it. This way, your staff can receive payments in the sister's company A/R. I’m here to help build the report.

I don't see how this gives any remittance. It just shows an amount paid, not what bills were paid. If you double click into the payment it will include items not paid and there is no print or export option.
Thanks for coming back, KP512.
The steps provided by my colleague are the workaround to generate remittance advice where we run the report and customize them to bill payments, bills, or checks. Just choose the bill payments transaction type when running the report by following the steps provided by Rasa-LilaM.
Then, we can export the report by clicking the Excel button and choose the Create New Worksheet option. From there we can customize the report to come up with the data you need. We can also print a bill payment check and send it to your vendor's email manually. This serves as your other option. Let me guide you through the steps:
You can also open the bill directly and press on Print at the top. To guide you in printing bills and other business transactions in the system, feel free to check out these resources:
