Hello, I am a new user of QuickBooks on line. Why some transactions in Expenses menu show action with view/edit and some do not? Will the view/edit always remain in some of the transactions? Also why the Credit card payment paid from my checking account show up in the Expenses menu? Both my checking and credit card accounts are connected online. When I review the transaction of my checking account for the Credit card payment, I choose "Match" and it shows up in the Expenses menu. Is this right? Thanks for your help!

Regardless of whether a transaction is associated with a credit card, the View/Edit dropdown button will appear on the Expenses page for the transaction types of Expense and check, Bill and bill payment check, and Purchase order.
You can run a monthly expense report to track how much you spend each month on each vendor. Then, if you want to personalize the data and save its current modification settings, you may customize and memorize it.

Then, any money-out transactions are displayed in the Expenses menu regardless if they are connected to your Online banking.

Thanks for your response. Please correct me if I am wrong. So to treat credit card payment as a transfer or pay down credit card does not matter since it will show up in the Expense menu. The view/edit in the action tab will always remain for the transactions not related to credit card. ???
