Can I make it so that Payroll Item doesn't auto-fill for ALL employees?

Our employees often have to switch Payroll Item codes from Day to Day.  However, this field is "auto-filled" with whatever the last entry was.  This creates plenty of Payroll Item errors.

So, is there a "global" setting I can change so that Payroll Item is blank and employees starts a timecard?

Changing the payroll item via the global setting is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Time, BDKnCB. Let me share some details regarding this.

 

When you choose a specific code for your daily time-in, it will automatically autofill. This occurs because the system sets the previously selected code as the default.

Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Time.
  2. Go to the Bell icon, then choose Suggest Idea.
  3. Enter your insights in the Idea section.
  4. Once done, click the Send Idea.
