Any one else having a terrible experience in the new Time Entry Beta?

Is anyone else having a massive problem in the Quickbook free time entry tracking?

 

  • Terrible UI, bugs everywhere
  • Updates from your reviews/fixes aren't being propagated to the time activity page under projects
  • Also can not update the bill rate on time entry review...you have to fix it at the invoice level

Any one else having a terrible experience in the new Time Entry Beta?

Hi there, @papacoins. Let's navigate within your account to submit a request and complete some steps to resolve your concern about time entries.

 

First, you can send Feedback to our developers within the Time menu regarding your experience with the QuickBooks free time entry tracking. They'll take it into their own hands to enhance the beta.

Second, when you modify the hours for your time entries, the changes made reflect on the Time Activity page of your projects in QuickBooks Online. Additionally, you can adjust the billable rate on the Time entries by unlocking your timesheets. Please note that you can only edit it after you unapprove the timesheet and then approve it again.

 

In this case, we can perform some troubleshooting to isolate this issue if you've unlocked and unapproved the timesheet but are unable to make the necessary changes. Let's start by accessing your QuickBooks account via incognito or private window. This mode doesn't retain cache, so we can verify if it is a webpage issue. 

 

Here are the keyboard shortcuts you can use:

 

  • For Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N

 

From there, sign in to your QuickBooks account to see if you can update the bill rate along with the modifications on the time activity page. If it works, I recommend clearing the default browser's cache. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative.

I recommend sending feedback to our developers for the features you want to be added in QuickBooks new Time Entry Beta.

 

You can follow the instructions provided by my colleague in sending feedback or follow the steps below:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  3. Type in your suggestion and click Next.
