QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020 services were discontinued last May 31, 2023. Thus, our access to Desktop Payroll, Payments, live technical support, Online Backup, Banking, and other services through QBDT Pro 2020 software will stop. Moreover, we won't receive critical security updates protecting your data. It started last June 1, 2023, which might be causing Error-6000, -301.

You can access the detailed info in this article:  QuickBooks Desktop 2020 service discontinuation policy.

If you wish to continue to use QBDT, I recommend upgrading your service to access your company file and acquire the services you need:  https://quickbooks.intuit.com/ca/desktop/pro/

Error -6000, -301

I understand that QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020 services are discontinued. I did not use any of the online services like payroll, banking, etc. My software was running fine at the time the service was discontinued.

If this error message is QuickBooks way of taking my data hostage and forcing me to purchase the latest online program, I will report them to the Federal Trade Commission. I will not have my data in the cloud for hackers to access.
