Hello there, @schmidtfs.
I'd like to clarify if you mean by late filing of 1099 using QuickBooks Online to send to your contractors. If so, I'm here to guide you file your contractor's 1099 even if it's late.
In QuickBooks Online, e-filing of form 1099 is only up to March 31st, 2024. Since we're now in April, you'll need to file the 1099s manually outside QuickBooks. You can refer to the IRS website to learn where to file your 1099s manually.
To send a copy of your contractor's 1099, you'll have to download or print the forms. Then, deliver them to your contractor outside of the program.
In the future, if you file using QuickBooks Online, you can also check out viewing your filing status through this article: Create and file 1099s with QuickBooks Online.
After filing your 1099s or sending a copy to your contractors, you can also consider creating 1099 reports in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you have other concerns about 1099 filing in QuickBooks Online. We're here to assist you anytime.
