We were with TSheets prior to Intuit buying them out. For the last couple years, the GPS went from spectacular with TSheets to absolute GARBAGE with Intuit.
I cannot tell you how many times I've called or did the chat feature to figure out what is going on. Turns out Intuit decided to mess with TSheets, but didn't tell anyone they screwed it up. Rather they blame: The phone. The tower. The location. The server. The satellite. Absolutely anything and everything except themselves, where the TRUE blame lies. Intuit has made the GPS worthless.
Last month I called and asked for a credit since half our employees are not showing, even after: verifying latest app. Device Logs. Uninstall. Reinstall. Verify phone settings. and on and on. I was told we'd see a credit for July.
Shocker! No credit. Today 5 of 9 employees are not showing. Called QB Time (again) and was told by this person that they cannot offer credits and gave me a link for a form - but the QB Time is NOT an option, so we're essentially paying for NOTHING.
WE WANT A CREDIT.

GPS is pulled rom a combination of satellites, Wi-Fi, and cellular data. There's many factors that can't be controlled, such as a device's technical capabilities, weather patterns, atmosphere, etc. This can make it difficult for some GPS points to be pulled, or to find out why a certain point may not be pulling correctly.
Before troubleshooting GPS tracking issues, you'll want to confirm you're set up correctly and using the newest version of our QuickBooks Workforce app.

You can also report a problem if you've already tried all of these troubleshooting processes, but are still encountering issues with GPS tracking. We're experiencing persistent GPS problems that have been ongoing for several months now.

We have been a TSheets user for over 8 years. The GPS feature was so reliability when it was TSheets. We have around 20 crew members using the app daily. The GPS feature is DEAD as far as our company is concerned. We never thought about pursuing a credit. The GPS is so unreliable we cannot even use to verify locations within 40 miles. Since intuit has made changes to Tsheets the software has become very unreliable and prone to issues. We spend a lot of time cleaning up payroll that used to be very well tracked by Tsheets.
We were very loud and proud Tsheets supporters when we began using it. Telling many people how great it was. That unfortunately is no longer the case since Intuit bought Tsheets.

We have experienced the exact same issue. Currently testing connecteam. GPS is no issue and cost is about 1/2 quicktime per user. We have 40 users.
Is this app you're looking into have the capacity to have an employee's time be uploaded to QB?
We are having the same issues. I am thinking that some of the techs are clocking in and then closing out the app so it’s not “running in the background” to track where they are. I was under the impression that techs would not even be able to clock in until they enter the geofence location, but it gives them the option to clock in whenever they want. I’d also like the app to clock out automatically once leaving geofence. There needs to be some major updates.
Yes. We are experiencing the same issues. I was under the impression that geofence would stop techs from clocking in before they reach it, but it gives them a choice, also instead of flagging when they leave geofence it should just automatically clock them out when they leave. There needs to be some major updates. I believe some of our techs are clocking in and then closing out the app to where it’s not “running in the background” and unable to track them. I do not mind having to manually changing time for a tech if they get kicked out because they forget to clock out and it kicks them out for leaving. I would like accuracy and to keep our techs honest. Please find someone to fix the bugs in the system and make it better!
