Can I avoid manually creating invoices / receivables in QB if I am integrated with Authorize.net via an App? With "Synch" I can push the A.net invoice into QB.

Our Software works with Authorize.Net to capture the client and payment information, and processes the payment. This data is pushed / synched with QB via an App (PayTraQer or CommerceSynch, etc.) Is it easy / safe to match funds to the right clients? Is it fully automated or some 'review

@nick139

You may need another app to reconcile Authorize.net transactions into your QBO account.

Thank you, but that answer does not make sense to me.

I realize that in order for an accounting software to work - obviously a receivable would have to be created (for every credit there must be a debit) - But why can't I automate the process?

If I can import a CSV file of invoices into QB, as described HERE, - And, since PayTraQer (or CommerceSync) already integrate and "push" the transaction data into QB... then why couldn't I automate the invoice creation?

Please advise

Thanx

Hi there, nick139.

I appreciate you for coming back to the thread to add extra details about your concern. With this, I'll be sharing details on how entries work between two integrated software, Then, ensure you'll be routed to the right support team to assist you further on this matter.

In QuickBooks Online, you can make templates for recurring transactions to automatically create an invoice to send to the customer. However, since you're using a 3rd party app while managing sales or invoice transactions, you're unable to directly perform the process. That said, I suggest contacting the app provider to help you confirm and check if there's any way to automate the invoice creation in both software.

Additionally, you may open this article to see different details on how the Sales page gives you a great at-a-glance view of the status of sales transactions like open and paid invoices: View sales transactions.

Lastly, I'm also adding this article to further guide you in effectively managing your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about advanced accounting, banking, and payments to name a few.
