Currently, QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) does not have the option to filter items added to the Inventory within a specific date range.
You can, however, run the Inventory Valuation Detail or Summary report to help you identify the items added in January based on the values populated in the report. To run this report, here's how:
- Hover to the Reports menu, then select Report Center.
- Select Inventory for the Inventory Valuation report. You can choose whether the Summary or the Detailed one.
- Click Run, to run the report.
In addition, if you want to add this feature to the program, I suggest sending your valuable feedback to our product developers. By doing so, you can help us improve our services and make your experience with QBDT even better. To submit your request, follow the steps below.
- Go to the Help option.
- Choose Send Feedback Online.
- Click Product Suggestion. A pop-up window displays.
- Enter your feedback suggestion
- Click the Send Feedback button.

Furthermore, QBDT allows you to customize any report you generate. You can personalize the data, add or delete columns, include or remove information on the header/footer, and even customize the font and style of the report.
