You can set up price rules, kavellahaircare.

This feature will allow you to charge a special price of a certain item. The first thing we need to do is turn on the feature. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. From the Sales tab, click the Edit (Pencil) icon on the Products and services section.
  3. Check the Turn on price rules Beta box, then Save and Done.

The next thing to do is add a pricing rule.

  1. From the Gear icon and then select All Lists.
  2. Click Price Rules and select Create a rule/New price rule.
  3. Give your rule a name. Select the item and enter a rate.
  4. Hit Save and close.

When you create a sales transaction, you'll see the prices you added on the Rate field. This is how it looks like:wholesale.PNG

Can I create more than one pricing option under a single product in Online? Currently I make a wholesale item and a retail one, but inventory cannot be kept accurate.

For example, if I have one shampoo of one size, but I sell it wholesale and retail. In QB Online I've made 2 separate products for the 2 pricing/tax options. However, it's only one SKU. So if I get 1000 of them for inventory, all I can do is assign 500 to one "product" and 500 to the other. Over time, one number will deplete before the other, and I ether have a product going into a negative, or I have to "move" inventory from one item to the other to keep the total correct and in the positive. This is an accounting issue when I am getting "inventory shrinkage" balances. Help!

Thank you! This beta must not have been an option when I first started using QB online, so I'm glad I asked now after all these years of failed inventory tracking LOL.

@kavellahaircare

As another option, consider having an inventory maangement app with B2B portal to manage multiple pricelist and integrate it with your QBO.
