Can I search for customers billing address?

Great day, deewwc.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help you today.

Are you trying to search for your customer's billing address or use the billing address in searching the customer? Either way, you can use the search field to look for the answer:

  1. Click Sales.
  2. Choose Customers.
  3. Enter a word.
  4. Check out the result.

You can also run a report which shows your customer details:

  1. Click Reports.
  2. On the search field, enter Customer Contact List.
  3. If needed, you can customize the report to show more information.

That should help you search your customer's detail, deewwc.

Let me know if you have other questions for me. I'm still here to help you further. Wishing you and your business continued success.

Can I search for customers billing address?

In the desktop version I could sort by name or street address.  When I select the search bar it only searches by customer names.  No addresses populate to search.  How do I can the search to include addresses too?

Can I search for customers billing address?

Hello there, @Sears2020.

As mentioned by my colleague above you can search your customer address when you click Sales on the left pane.
Another option is by using the Advanced Search feature:

  1. Click the Magnifying Glass icon.
  2. Enter the customer's address.

Also, if your Quickbooks Online account isn't updated that's the possible reason why you can't search the address of your account. QuickBooks already rolled up a new latest update with more features.

I've attached a screenshot below for the difference.

If you have noticed, the search bar says "Find a customer, project, or company" while the other one says "Search." The "Search" means you'll be able to search using the address while the "Find a customer, project, or company" won't.

In case you'll want to manage your customer list and export customer data you can refer to these help articles:

Can I search for customers billing address?

Hi there, Beth51.

Glad to have you here as a member in the QuickBooks Community. I'm here to help. The  process is similar for desktop. If you wanted to find a report showing all customer information, follow these steps:

  1. Click Reports
  2. Under the Customer section select Customer Contact Report.

With QuickBooks Desktop you have a variety of options for customizing the report to show specific information. You can also take advantage of the Find Feature within QuickBooks . If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Can I search for customers billing address?

Hello, ACRB.

You can still search for customers by typing the numerical part of their address or street name in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. Let's make sure your program is up to date with the latest release so you can take advantage of the most recent features and fixes. Then, you can run the verify and rebuild to ensure your company file is free from any possible data issues.

These are the steps to verify data:

  1. Go to File, then select Utilities.
  2. Choose Verify Data, then click OK.

Here's how to rebuild data:

  1. Go to File, then Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data, then click OK.
  3. QuickBooks will ask to make a backup before rebuilding your company file, select OK. If you don’t want to do a backup, select Cancel to continue rebuilding your company file.
  4. Once the rebuild's finished, select OK.

You can visit this article for more details: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

For future reference, I've added this resource to learn how to set up an email service so you can send transactions through Webmail or Outlook: Connect your email to QuickBooks Desktop.

You're always welcome to post your reply if you have further assistance with searching customers or transactions. I'll be around to help you.
