Can QuickBooks Online select tax rates provided by an integrated third party invoicing platform, in this case Nexudus?

Thank you for posting here in the Community, @scutler.

When integrating a third party app in QuickBooks Online (QBO) we have a separate support for this. You can visit the app's Support section to find their contact information.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the QuickBooks Apps website.
  2. Search Nexudus.
  3. Look for the contact details.

For more information, you may check out this article link: Apps that work with QuickBooks.

I've also provided an article for your future reference in case you want to change your tax rate in QuickBooks Online: Edit Sales Tax Rate in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have other concerns. I'm always around to help you out. Take care always.

Can QuickBooks Online select tax rates provided by an integrated third party invoicing platform, in this case Nexudus?

Thank you for the response.

I can't find Nexudus at any of the links provided.  I have spoken with the Nexudus support team.  According to them, I'm configured properly on the Nexudus side.  When I transfer an invoice to QBO from Nexudus, QBO should use the Tax Rate used on the invoice, but it doesn't. Instead, QBO uses the "Default Location" tax rate.

I have replicated exactly the Nexudus tax rates, in QBO.

Any additional suggestions?  Is there a person at QBO familiar with the Nexudus Integration?

Thanks!

Hello there, @scutler.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) allows integration with several third-party apps and software. Since nexudus isn't a compatible app in QBO, this is why the imported transaction differs from the default tax.

With this, I’d suggest contacting our Intuit Developers Community and make a request so your app will be added on the supported list. Because this is a separate pace where product engineers give insights concerning software integration and application matters. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Intuit Developers.
  2. Click Help located in the upper right, then select QuickBooks Online.
  3. Select Ask a Question, then hit Sign in using your QBO credentials.

I've attached this articles you can read for ideas on how you can manage your account and transactions: Help Articles for QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted if you have other questions about integration with QuickBooks. I'm just a post away. Have a great day!
